Perhaps his statement about the spy poisoning yesterday upset the President?

It certainly makes for great daily drama watching everything unfold(unravel)

Weve got more in common with America than ever before ; as we both unravel together...[^]

There is no way he had any input whatsoever in this statement. He probably doesn't know what half of the words mean.

In his announcement, Mr. Trump focused on Mr. Pompeo without explaining his decision about Mr. Tillerson.

“As Director of the C.I.A., Mike has earned the praise of members in both parties by strengthening our intelligence gathering, modernizing our defensive and offensive capabilities, and building close ties with our friends and allies in the international intelligence community,” he said in a written statement distributed by the White House.

“I have gotten to know Mike very well over the past 14 months, and I am confident he is the right person for the job at this critical juncture,” he continued. He will continue our program of restoring America’s standing in the world, strengthening our alliances, confronting our adversaries, and seeking the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.”

A lot of reports say that Tillerson was asked to step down on Friday. He probably only said about Russia as a parting shot as he knew he was going anyway. If he was staying he'd have said whatever Trump wanted him to say.

It's awfully suspicious that the day after Tillerson comes out and supports us and slags Russia, that he is sacked. Putin has made a telephone call and issued instructions it seems.

This is serious.

It feels like Britain is now the antelope being separated from the herd by a lion and a jackal. We have removed ourselves from the economic big player herd on the one hand, while at the same time finding out that the other herd we are part of's biggest stag/bull doesn't care about us much after all and has maybe even decided looking after the herd is too much hassle. Much easier to do a secret deal with the enemy instead.

It is beginning to look like Putin is the modern day Machiavelli/Bismarck rolled in to one, but I don't believe Putin could have imagined the dividends he would reap from such small acorns. He can't possibly have thought there was so much stupidity in the West. I am fairly sure with his disruption strategy for the EU, election interference etc he was hoping, at best, to siphon off maybe a Greece or Italy or Hungary from the bloc and weaken and distract it that way. Most likely it was not a real expectation to actually get a member to leave, just to create a lot of internal opposition in countries and thus the concentration on internal politics would take focus away from encouraging countries like Ukraine to form stronger trading bonds with the EU and eventual membership. Farage and Banks were a punt. Instead they have managed to remove the second/3rd biggest economic player in the EU, but by far the biggest, respected and hitherto skillful, player on the world political stage, from the EU and at the same time put NATO under threat.

But Remainers are the traitorous enemies of the people and non patriots.

I wonder, do puppets always realise they are puppets? Do they even know who the puppet master is?

I've seen it mentioned in plenty of reports. What the actual truth is - I don't know.

This is what CNN said:

"White House press secretary Sarah Sanders told reporters that Trump asked Tillerson to step aside.

Trump "thought it was the right time for the transition with the upcoming North Korea talks and various trade negotiations," a senior administration official said, adding that Trump asked Tillerson to step aside on Friday."

If reports are true that he found out via Twitter then that is despicable, albeit unsurprising.

It would be bad craic for a newsagent to sack a paperboy like that.

Given that Tillerson was always pushing for diplomacy with North Korea while Trump was dďck waving and sabre-rattling is it that surprising? Now the South has brokered a possible diplomatic solution with the US and NK it's more than likely that Trump wants to try and take all the credit, despite diplomacy being the polar opposite of his position.

The man is nothing more than an overinflated ego in a badly fitting suit.

"He's a complete m0ron." Tillerson on Trump, a month ago.

Putin single handedly got the leave vote and played over 50% of population who voted.

You lot get more and more pathetic every passing week. You listen to why people voted leave and even you lot might know how stupid you sound.

I'd just stick to putting your philosophy degrees to good use on the tills at Aldi and give in with the politics.

If anyone is brainwashed it's you lot.
