Just been reading the post on Adama. Many thought he was bereft somewhere, now proved wrong.
The opposite is true for Bamford, most thought he was wasted here.It says a lot that Curbishley,Dyche etc.supposedly "knowledgeable" managers couldn't see it whereas Boro fans in general could.

Not sure all Boro fans supporters him. There are a few who are s little bit quiet at the moment.
He is proven at this level but not proven anything above this league. Had a few chances but not many since he did well for us

Patrick himself has said he maybe didn't handle not being first choice as well as he could.

Confidence can be further instilled by a good manager, but a player needs to keep going through rough patches before that can happen. Too many players lack that professionalism and I'm sure that's what limits the level that some talented individuals reach.

I can't help thinking that Pulis was no different from the other managers who didn't think Bamford was up to it and preferred a more physical player as a striker. This time Gestede was preferred but then got injured and Britt seems to be even more out of favour so at last, Bamford gets a run as an out-and-out striker.
Now will people finally stop saying PB should play on the right wing or as a 'Number 10'?

I agree there, dood. As a player, I'd have been motivated by not getting in the team. I used to take offence when I got the hook with 10 minutes left haha... Bamford has had a queer old spell on the bench though and I don't blame him if he did spit his dummy out. Must've been a frustrating couple of years for the boy.

I was at the Bolton game on Boxing Day just after Monk got the sack and he was absolutely woeful. He couldn’t even do the simple things and everyone was getting disgruntled and his performance. I really thought it was the beginning of the end for him.

Bamford did a fantastic job for us on the right under Karanka and as a number 9. He’s going through a fantastic purple patch and looking exactly like the player we saw in 2014/15. He’s got his confidence back and is finally playing with a smile on his face. Some players need that lucky break under managers, look at Rashford and Kane as examples.

I hate to say it, but we wouldn’t have accumulated the goals and points we’ve got if Gestede had been in the side. Paddy B loves this club and hopefully he can fire us to glory this season.

I've noticed that. I assume you mean the people who used to intimate that if Sean Dyche could not turn him into a match winner then PB was useless.
Still, people had to slag off someone after their Jordan Rhodes "campaign" was over.

I thought we controlled the game against Bolton and Bamford has been one of the main reasons we force teams to worry about what's happening behind them. Bolton were no different to that. Bringing in Bamford and Leadbitter against Ipswich was the turning point of the season. When Pulis has ignored that, we've lost.
