Traore or Adomah?

Genuine question as both are playing very well at the moment, which would you prefer?

A lot of people start of the season would of said Adomah straight out, but for me since Pulis has had his hands on Traore, he really is filling his potential and looks a top top player.

Traore or Adomah?

I would take 1 Adomah Traore over 3 Albert Adomah.

Traore is several levels above Adomah imo.

Traore or Adomah?

If we had had Adomah from the start of the season I think we might have been doing better than we are now. Though Monk would probably have benched him!

That said, I think Traore will go on to be something special whereas Albert is probably playing at his peak now. I wouldn't swap now.

Traore right, Adomah left.

That's the real answer.

Traore all day. Adomah is a good player but Traore is something special; more talented, younger and wants to play for Boro whereas Adomah didnt.

Traore or Adomah?

Adomah has had an excellent season. 14 goals and 5 assists in the league so far.

On Saturday, he got a goal and an assist against the top side.

Traore has a better assists per game but a third of the goals per game.

Different players with different attributes.

I wouldn’t swap them, not just because Adama is doing so well for us now but simply because it’s nearly two seasons since Albert played for us.

He belonged to his successful time here under Mogga and then Karanka.

But we’ve all moved on now.

I think it actually reflects positively on the Boro when ex players do well at new clubs, a lot of players like Albert, Lee Tomlin, Adam Reach, Stuani, and a good few others are key players at their current clubs.

Traore or Adomah?

As far as I am aware, Traore has never sulked and demanded a transfer after being dropped like Adomah did?

I don't get the Adomah love-in on here. Sure, he could be good when he was XXXXXXd, but for me he had too many games where he went missing.

Traore or Adomah?

I'd love Albert back at City. As for fatty being a key player at his current club? He was kicked out of his current club by possibly the most lenient manager in the country. He was kicked out of my club for not just being a fat lazy arrogant slob but a divisive and disruptive but also due to his loutish behaviour outside of football. He was kicked out of his previous club after not only falling out with but being disrespectful to the manager.

Traore or Adomah?

If you purely take his goals and his assists (so therefore ignoring the hypotheticals that they may not have been converted in our team, or he might have had more converted etc.), I think you'd have to take Adomah if you're looking purely at this season.

Traore has more potential and might command a much bigger fee if/when he is sold, and he's possibly a more exciting player.

But I feel like if you just did a straight swap and stuck Adomah's goals and assists in to our team, then some fine margins this season might have tilted our way. This is all complete guess work, but we might not have lost 1-0 to Wolves on the opening day, we might not have lost both times to Cardiff, we might have beaten Villa away etc.

14 goals is a lot and would presumably see us climb a few places at the very least. He'd instantly be our top scorer and alongside Bamford and Assombalonga would mean we now had three goal scorers over 10 goals for the season. We aren't really a side that spreads the goals out and, until recently, weren't high scorers. We would immediately climb above Derby on goal difference, and it would possibly drop Villa down the table too, without his goals.

Traore has done really well since January, but his contributions were limited before then, due to some things of his own doing (the red card at Villa and penalty at Cardiff) and down to the management. Adomah's been a big contributor all season at Villa.

I'm not saying we shouldn't have done those deals back in 2016, as there were other reasons behind it, not least that Adomah didn't really want to be here. But if you're saying we get the Adomah that has been playing for Villa all season and they get the Traore from August up until now, then it's an quite an easy decision.

Traore for sure.

Although Albert will likely still be at Villa next season but Traore likely won't be at the Boro

I'd rather have both of course, and i'm a big fan of Adomah, but as things are, there's absolutely no way i'd be able to pick him ahead of Traore.

Traore will make this club a lot of money i suspect when he moves on. He could genuinely go to be a top, top player.

Traore better individual, Adomah better team player although Traore is slowly catching up in that area.

Traore or Adomah?

I think any snooping Villa fans would see this thread and consider that we are being bitter. Based on stats alone, Adomah is clearly ahead.

However, what Traore has shown us, particularly in the last 3 months, is that he is starting to fulfil the unlimited potential he has. One of the two players has the potential to go for massive money and play for one of the best clubs out there, and that person isn't Adomah.
