Looking for a new series to watch as going to be travelling the next couple of days.

Have seen most of the usual. Ozark was the last thing I watched and loved it.

I've just finished watching Mindhunter and going to watch Manhunt: Unabomber.

Godless is another good shout. I have watched this twice and never got bored with it.

Alias Grace. Should have got more attention than it did.

Also American Vandal. Like Serial, but about dicks spray painted on cars.

Fluffy, too much praise! Godless is not 'brilliant' as its plot is ridiculous, but it is watchable I grant you [8D]

Stopped watching mindhunter as the background music prevented me from hearing the actors. Frustrating.

Unibomber is quality.

Also don't miss is The Big Short.

I’d highly recommend Altered Carbon, I’m really enjoying so far and it has a high rating of 8.5/10 on IMDB.

“Set in a future where consciousness is digitized and stored, a prisoner returns to life in a new body and must solve a mind-bending murder to win his freedom.”

I really liked Sense8 but it was ditched after 2 seasons so maybe it's not for everyone. For a dip in and out I quite like Brooklyn 99. Loads of episodes of that

The Keepers is superb, on a par with Making a Murderer.

Best IMHO are Stranger (Korean), Stranger Things, Narcos, MindHunter and Ozark. I was a bit disappointed with The Sinner.

Netflix is so good I rarely watch terrestrial tv anymore.

'Netflix is so good I rarely watch terrestrial tv anymore.'

Got to agree with that (apart from the rarely bit!) McMafia was quite good but terrestrial TV is pretty poor these days. Recently watched Hard Sun, Kiri, Girlfriends & Next of Kin. Some good actors but all were pretty rubbish

I think it's a lot of do with the sound too Johnson. BBC... I just can't hear it!! But yeah, apart from Sat night on BBC4 the rest is pretty average, at best!

Some really great Scandinavian drama on the Channel Four Walter Presents channel on line. Seen some great programmes!

@Johnson - they did can Sense8 because of how expensive it was, but it's being brought back for a film to tie up loose ends.

I liked it too, the second series anyway. The first series was kind of lumbered with explaining the concept and introducing things, the second was able to just power ahead with plot and action.

I tend to find that I have more sound problems with higher quality productions and they're usually fixed by switching the sound mode on the TV to Movie.

I'm assuming they have the funds to record in a more film quality audio which tends to accentuate the bass and high-end while missing out the middle if you listen on 'normal'.

Technology* - the cause of and solution to all of life's problems...

*with apologies to Homer J Simpson.

We discovered "Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories" this last week. Short eps. Really brilliant.

As for the Scandi dramas on 4, if it's still available, "Hellfjord" is superb. Hilarious and really dark at the same time. Genius.

Think Mindhunter will be next on the list.

They've recently put on a new US sitcom called "Friends" which I have started watching - very funny; set in the 90s. Few people will have seen it or even heard of it, as it has only been on there a few weeks.
