It WAS a penalty

Naive from Grant put his leg out to fall over but he actually caught him on the foot.

Grants decision making is poor sometimes.
He didnt have to make that challenge.

Tactics lot us the game. Playing for a draw last 15 minutes. Crazy

OK so if Fulhams' was a penalty, then we deserved two penalties for the foul on Braithwaite??

The kid dived should of been carded never mind a penalty. How is diving going to be removed from the game when they get the decisions. It incentivised

That was not a penalty. The game is a contact sport. Leadbitter has barely caught the end of his toe and he's thrown himself to the ground like he's been shot. It was a dive, it was cheating and we were robbed. How Leadbitter hasn't launched him after that I don't know.

dickheads like shearer started this 'there was contact' routine to justify penalties, leadbitters toe end touching norwoods by 1mm does not make it a penalty, footballs a contact sport

I don't like or really want VAR....

That said would have got us a clear pen and would definitely been used to look at Fulhams (think they call it soft).

To be fair it wouldn't have been an issue had Rudy not been a dud with the ball at his feet[sad]

Thought it was a penna. You cant go waving your foot around in the penalty area like that.

Debating whether it was or wasn't a pen is ignoring the fact that Leadbitter should never have made the challenge in the first place. He could have easily harried the Fulham player to the touchline; no need to make the challenge at all. A couple of seconds earlier George took a chance by diving in and just to say timed it right only for Leadbitter to stick his leg out. [V]

Was a challenge of a tired person.
Contact was made and the lad did enough to convince the ref.

However, challenge by Kalas was absolutely nailed on Penalty. No doubts. And Ref was right in front of it

Referee decided that match

We seem to have a woeful amount of energy compared to other teams.
Leadbitter goosed after 65 mins

We should have been out of sight by half time but our pen nailed on not given theirs was dubious TBH maybe it was maybe it wasn't Maybe the makem ref was enacting his own retribution for us knocking his beloved team out of the cup last week.
