Exiled is he seeing your missus or something. What about Gestede missing them chances. Leadbitter was awful second half, where you even there? Your attacks on clayton are embarrassing.

If they'd scored from that break away and we looked back, people would be saying why hasn't Clayton stopped him when he had chance and berating him for it. No issue with that tackle although it wasn't far off a red. Same with Fredericks, his was appalling, just span round and booted him.

Exiled's attacks on Clayton are as frequent (and boring) as SAS's complaints about Traore [:D]

"Your attacks on clayton are embarrassing."

Embarrassing for whom?. I'm not embarrassed by them. It was a shocking tackle to make from a poor player who should be nowhere near the 18, get rid of the muppet soonest. The sooner you see what a poor player he is, I'd suggest the better.

He glided last Clayton like he wasnít there, thatís why he recklessly had to bring him down, thatís the issue. Some people think heís a brilliant defensive midfielder, itís ridiculous, heís a professional foul merchant.

Clayton dolls [cr][cr], I just see it before most. I thought Gestede and Braithwaite were very poor.

So Jeff can you tell me if I'm wrong on the tackle?, wrong about Gestede or Braithwaite?. I'll await an answer.

It was hard to see the tackle from my position in the north stand im quite high up. What i could quite clearly see is leadbitter is finished. Gestede couldn't finish his dinner. And the substitutions were asking for trouble. Clayton included.

Played the best pass of the game to put Assombalonga clean through. Unsurprisingly this obviously went unnoticed by his critics.

Ah yes it was a punt[:D] it was actually very similar to the 'punt' for Nugent away at Bolton.

Howson's ball was a doddle mate.

Even if he did play the bestt pass of the game (he didn't), it doesn't get away from his reckless tackle. Which was the point of the thread really.

That's also a very handy way of winning a debate. Throw the two together and it's game over. Clayton's pass for Assombalonga was superb. Anyone who disagrees is simply talking nonsense.

The players on the pitch appreciates the foul. 100% the right decision. To argue he wasnít a brilliant defensive midfielder in our promotion season is just deliberately obtuse or evidence of a complete lack of any understanding.

Clayton's ball was an excellent ball. Howson's was also good - it doesn't have to be either or.
As regards Clayton's yellow; he was well beaten and brought the man down. I suppose some people choose not to have seen Grant left tragically for dead in the second half and he coudn't even get close enough to hack the lad. Far bigger gaff than Clayton's.
Grant had a poor match. His stupid challenge cost us a point.
Gestede was awful. His first half misses cost us the win.

Traore was a joy to watch first half - outstanding.
Disappointing to see Johnson come on.
The back 4 all did well I thought (penalty aside) and Downing was very very good in the first half especially.

Clayton 100% did the right thing. Their player glided last a few of ours and he couldnít take the chance. By doing it where he did meant there was no danger from it.

There are idiots on this board who really havenít got a clue. They confirm this suspicion day after day, almost with every post they make.

Clayton absolutely did the right thing.
More importantly, his ball forward for Assombolonga was a beautifully weighted, curling forward ball, not the punt forward described by a biased earlier poster.

He did the right thing but the issue for me is why does it seem like he/we need to do that at least once a game? We actually attempted to do it twice yesterday but failed miserably on the first attempt.

Probably because we have slugs in the middle of the park(not including Howson in that).

But Chappy, can't you at least accept the ball for Britt from Clayton was a fantastic ball?
