Expo vs Fptrader betting challenge - £1000 per man entry fee

This is due to start on Jan 1st so will get the conditions of the contest up in the next few days. We will need someone to hold the funds, I'm sure myself and FP can contribute something to that person for a nice dinner and a drink somewhere for their trouble.

Anyone else who wants to get involved in this contest are extremely welcome. They can either emulate FP and 'oppose profit' or go head to head with me in a 'profit contest' I will match any forthcoming stakes of £1000 and above.

Yeap I'll hold on to it for you. How long do you expect the comp to last?. I would expect at least a parmo and a bottle of coke in return for doing so.

On a separate note, I'm thinking about going on holiday and would like some recomendations. I'm looking at going in the first couple of weeks in Jan. I've got a budget of a couple of grand so if anybody could give me any recommendations then that would be much appreciated. [;)]

Harbottle - made me chuckle that.

Mary - will get the conditions up in the next 48hrs. The conditions reflect what I had to do to get FP involved as he wanted certain restrictions in place. I agree with the principle of the restrictions but must say that the conditions do not favour the person who is attempting to make profit. However there is an opportunity to take me on and possibly others with straight forward horse selections. It is £1000, but it's a 50 selection process and could well be worth the investment. It will be great if you decide to join the contest, however if not, would you be willing to hold funds from myself and FP?

I suspect he may metamorphose into a Nigerian prince, willing to 'rest' funds in your bank account if you will just provide him with the details.

northoftheriver

Plenty of reliable people on here know Expo has put on thousands of verified bets over the years.

How much did he win off the scoop 6 again?? At least 10k?

IF that is your definition of tinpot then fair enough..

Boroman - this is the whole point, I may not turn a profit, but surely that is part of the challenge? The great thing here is that those who don't think I can have the opportunity to put their money down. I wonder how many step forward? It must be said, the agreed restrictions are going to make it difficult to achieve profit. It won't be a case of grabbing the easy value.

Contest will take place over the first six calendar months of 2018, starting on Jan 1st and finishing on Jun 30th. There will be fifty horse selections put forward that can be either win or each way. Selections will be settled in accordance with industry practice unless otherwise stated in accordance with the rules and regulations of this contest.

1. Selections can be put forward from 9am on day of race upon til 30 mins before the advertised off time. Ante Post bets are allowed in advance of final declarations and will follow standard industry rules for settlement purposes.

2. Bookmakers that prices can be taken from are, Bet365, Skybet, Ladbrokes, William Hill, Paddy Power, Coral and Betfred.

3. A selection must be priced the same or higher with at least 2 of the valid
bookmakers.

4. Any increased place terms available for feature races must be available with at least 3 of the valid bookmakers. This counts for both the number of places and whether it is settled at a 1/4 or 1/5 of the odds.

5. Best Odds Guaranteed is not valid.

6. Selections are allowed for Class 5 Handicaps and above as well as Group/Listed races and National Hunt equivalent.

7. When selections are put forward there is a minimum of 3/1 and a maximum of 16/1 price restrictions in place. Any higher priced selections can be put forward but they will count as 16/1. Lower than 3/1 will be void.

8. Any non runners or void selections do not count as a selection. Ante post selections that fail to make the cut are treated as a non runner and those that are not entered or withdrawn count as a loser.

9. For the purpose of this contest stakes will be level at £100 per bet. This will be either £100 win or £100 each way per selection.

10. The contest will end on the 30th June. If 50 selections have not been put forward by this time the person in question will lose the contest.

Obviously this challenge is currently with fptrader, but I welcome anyone else who wants to put up the money and take the same position as him and wager that I can't make profit over 50 bets with the listed restrictions above. I actually think the odds are in favour of those who are 'opposing profit' so it will be interesting to see if anyone comes forward. I'm also calling out any tipsters who would like to take me on to see who can make the most profit. I believe there are some tipsters on here who can make profit in theory but will fail in practice, ie when there's any sort of significant money at stake. This isn't meant as derogatory, but I invite and welcome them to a contest if they can afford and don't mind risking the money [^]

are we there yet.

Dont understand what you are getting at??? 30 odd people transfered money from there own bank accounts, on numerous occasions to a guy on here (Mr Issac). He was a real person with a real name (i know of him away from the board). There were several people who put in there, who I know in the real world.

The fact is expo put up 20 Times more than nearly every other person who was part of that syndicate (on more than one occassion) and he got a 5 figure pay out.

I dont know what you are suggesting, whether you believe it or not?? But while expo is of course a character on a message board, there is some truth in what he says and we know he is a real person rather than just some keyboard warrior

Maybe theres an element of jealousy regarding his disposable income???

lee tublin. it was aimed at "are we there yet" or maybe you are the same person.

Expo says he trades. (even when we lose we win). But im going on the money we know he has staked and the money he has returned.

Betting in the thousands and winning in the thousands isnt tinpot.

Or is it??
