I know that the team now plays it's home games at Norton but anyone know if the Synners club at Central Avenue is still operating?

The Synthonia club is still going strong. The club under the stand is shut I believe

The Synthonia Club was nothing to do with the football team, their club was in the Central Avenue stand.....it's a sorry story about a famous old club, wonder how long it can go on?

Synners Juniors still play at Central Avenue but the ground is completely shut. The Seniors will never be back in Billingham.

I noticed that their recent home game had 71 fans attending, such a shame.

Rumours are that plans for a new ground on the current site have been drawn up. Much smaller plot to allow development of further land on the site.

Let's hope so, don't know how realistic the plans are, I thought that there were very restrictive covenants on the land especially with it's proximity to chemical plants?

Synners Juniors were hoping to obtain Sport England Funding for their area behind the ground. Not sure how that is going anymore.

There'll be houses on Central Avenue soon no doubt. Wonder who owns the land.

Oh what a twisted web we weave, it's not that difficult to find out via the Land Registry, it's apparently a very bitter situation and the football club are the loser. The man with the most money will come out on top.

Housing plans were knocked back for the old ici office site across the road due to proximity of works. Not sure about current site but would imagine it may be the same, bit further away so you never know.
