We are getting some of the so called "bogey grounds" out of the way early this year and come the run in the fact we have already played some of the fancied teams away - could be key.

We all know in the play off season how awful our final run in was, but this year on paper (at least) it doesn't look too bad.

We won at Forest and Wolves two seasons ago. Won at Villa last time we played there before last night.

True but historically they have not been our fave away grounds I added wolves mainly as I think they could be a real force at home this year.

The run in does look a lot kinder than it did a few years ago (is my point), so getting these trickier ties out the way could be a factor come may.

Plus our Preston result looks a lot better in light of cardiffs result the other night as well.

I think the op makes a valid point about bogey grounds.

But also the likes of Wolves, Forest, Villa are big clubs, arguably bigger than the Boro, an away match at these places is never going to be a walkover and particularly not at the start of the season when they have fully fit squads to pick from.

AK made a mockery of "bogey" grounds. I've never understood this nonsense, how previous results from decades have a bearing, I do not know.

we have played 4 teams above us which is a good sign

Last night was probably our toughest test so far when down to 10 men.

Why would anyone think Wolves and Forest are bigger (or better) clubs than us?
Villa are bigger, I get that.

Bigger clubs due to their history or fan base? None have them have won anything on the last 20 odd years have they or even come close. When was the last time either of these teams were in Europe?
