Thiago Cruz leaves Boro

"That will all but complete the dismantling of the Spanish speaking backroom set-up that Aitor Karanka built up in his three years at the club." - Gazette

I thought Karanka was head coach not manager and the recruitment problems had nothing to do with him.

I wouldn't listen to the Gazette, they change their minds every other week.

I always thought he was apart of the Juninho/Gibson project.

He was he came from ituano, obviously the fact he speaks Spanish must mean he was another dictator karanka forced on everyone.

No doubt Colin cooper or proctor will take over and that will be the end of these new young players coming in.

Until one of these new young players actually does something like approaching first team action then it's probably not a bad thing JLinardi because it just seems a bit of a waste of money at this moment in time.

I liked the fact that we were being forward thinking and progressing as a club for once, looks like we are ripping it all apart because it didn't end well.

Most of the young players we sign won't work out but at least we were having a go. Soisalo seems to be doing okay for the youth team. I don't see it as anything but positive.

Whilst it would be nice to bring people through that's not the only way they can beneficial to the club.

Just by going out on loans with occasional sale will make the academy self funding.

The lad we sold in Jan went 1m.

Chelsea run there academy this way.

They have a target of selling two players every year for 10m each.

Plus the loan fees and with clubs taking on 100% of wages if all covers the cost and helps with ffp.

I'm not disagreeing with the forward thinking bit, but unless the new manager is prepared to give youth a chance then it's all a bit of waste of money in my eyes.
