The Sunday Lunch at the Smeltery in MIMA is absolutely superb, as is all of their food.
You'd be hard pressed to better it (I've recently had Sunday Lunch at the Bay Horse in Hurworth-very nice but not as good as Smeltery in my view)

Chapters at Stokesley is the best Sunday dinner I have ever had in my life. However, think the chef has moved on so not so sure now.

I'm not really a Sunday dinner fan and have never understood why places can't get meat and veg right. Anyway the Gables near Coulby newham is lovely, the meat is cooked to perfection.

The Mill in Stokesley usually do a good Sunday dinner at a reasonable price. Decent selection of beers and they also have a TV area for after, showing the Sunday afternoon games.

The Smeltery at MIMA for something different - it is around 50% veggie - run by people who have the Veggie restaurant near Eaglescliffe station - they use solid cork tables too - we had a table with a Bonsai tree growing in it. I hope it survives in the Boro - better place than you would find in most of London and half the price.

This is why you shouldn't trust a football messagboard.

Both Tockett's Mill and The Fox and Hounds at Slapewath near Guisborough are appalling.

Chadwick' is pretty good.
