Red Rum Club, The Lathums, The Illicits, The Mysterines, Benefits all feature on the Ku Bar Stage the first venue to reveal its hand for next year's Stockton Calling, the multi venue music festivial that takes over Stockton on Easter weekend Saturday.

Plenty to announce over the coming weeks, we're first up this year to announce our stage see images below with our personal thoughts and maybe some reasons why they're on our line-up.

Our stage headliners this year are the mighty Red Rum Club, Liverpool based and don't we love that!  The track Would you rather be loney was a highlight last year for vibes.  They're literally everywhere right now and they seem to be building up to a very important band right now.

Last year I also saw the singer carry 9 pints through a capacity crowd without spilling(much) and I think that warrants a headliner myself tbh

Anyway onwards to the bands you may know less of.

The Kooks, The Coral, The Smiths - which means excellent.

Recently supported Gerry Cinnamon in 2019 which put the band in the headlights of alot of people.  Not many haven't heard of this band so we feel like you don't really need to know much else.  Expect it to be capacity so get in earlier and see the below artists who will wet your ears ready

The band headlined a stage at Gathering Sounds last year on the back of being signed to Alan McGee's Creation Label.  Major buzz, major band!   They sound full and even the man Liam Gallagher had the band support him.

Rock 'n' roll three piece, they've been favourited by the BBC a fair few times last year playing Leeds/Reading and featured on a Maida Vale session about this time last year

Listen to the song Hormone promise it's a beast, sounds like a slightly heavier KOL

We've known Dan from previous bands and every single one seems to be totally different from the next.  This one's a throwback to indie/rave - think Klaxons/late of the pier etc.  Shared the bands new song on my own profile(Si) and Jimmy picked it up and ran with it for this years Stockton Calling giving his previous projects I think it's the perfect shout.

You know when the singer from The Chapman Family has a new project alot of heads are going to turn pretty quickly to see what the genius is plotting.  This one's for the angry people, it's very politically charged, heavy & distorted.  Radio X picked up the bands first single and gave it it's first spin showcasing it to the world back when the Twitter account had just been made.  Surprise factor 10/10

Also this quote from Kingsley is a delight and the feeling is 100% mutual: "Me and Ku have a long history together going back to the Chapman Family days so it’s a proper privilege to be asked back to play in 2020. Can’t wait."

Mt. Misery
Love these gents, the band stand out wherever they play tbh quite a popular band on our door step(Hartlepool).  Dead chill melodies, Garfunkel inspired songwriting.

This band surprised us earlier in the year playing support during a This Feeling promoted gig.  Straight up indie rock, unashamed they're full of energy.  Also randomly sat opposite one of the members back in October time on a train from down south back up north so we felt this just had to happen.

The band play a pretty big gig in London same evening so it gave us the opportunity for one of those 'reverse headliner' type slots we've became use to thanks to festivals like Twisterella.

Kicking off the stage & the festival with a bang.
