It is cup fever Tuesday as Boro fans exodus Teesside bound for the new Spurs ground hoping our in-form team can overcome Mourinho's Spurs in the 3rd Round replay. Kick off 8.05pm. It will also be screened live on BBC One for all those not able to take the trip down the M1. So, no one will be missing out. Cannot wait.

Boro played some superb football on Saturday against Derby County. Although, thanks to the last minute equaliser, we didn't keep our winning run going we will be still full of confidence as we enter Spurs new home on Tuesday night. There will also be the backing of 3700 fans in red'n'white as Boro decamp to London for the week. Can we make it a double success in the capital?

The prize for the victor is a 4th round draw away at another in-form side Southampton. The Saints will Be Marching In for Middlesbrough if we can march Spurs out of the competition.

It will be a very tough ask against the Champions League finalists playing in their own deluxe backyard. They might have flattered to deceive one and all at the Riverside but even without figurehead Harry Kane it is a side of Premier and international giants.

Boro will have to be at their very best once again to have some answers to Jose's questions. But if the last month has told us anything it is that we will be at our best. And Jonathan Woodgate and Robbie Keane will need to cook up a special battle plan against their old club side. Our tactics have been pretty hot of late. Look at the way we shifted players and formation between the wins at WBA and Preston. A bold move that paid off.

Spurs will not be looking forward to Boro's fiends of the flanks, Coulson and Spence. But there will be plenty of artillery available through the centre, just look at the way Patrick Roberts ran Derby ragged. After a game without a goal, Ashley Fletcher will be champing at the bit to add to his Riverside finish with another effort to finish off Tottenham.

Who could not fail to be excited by this prospect. This is not like playing Newport County in a replay, tomorrow the shoe is on the other foot and we can go there and enjoy it. The most important thing is to make a positive impression, as we did in the first game. But just imagine if we could get our noses in front once again. How exciting would that be? It could be a rare moment to savour.
