Garry Monk brings his Sheffield Wednesday team to the Riverside on Saturday. Can Jonathan Woodgate's side bounce back from defeat at Cardiff and make it a really unhappy return for the former Boro boss and his Owls? Kick off 3pm.

We have recorded a special podcast for you to discuss recent events. Neil Warnock once again putting one over us. And yes it does always tend to be 1-0. It was not a good day for Boro as so often is the case against both Warnock and Cardiff teams, so when the two became alligned, not good news for us. Click here for podcast

In saying that we need to bury that disappointing performance and result asap and get back to building unbeaten runs again and that means overcoming two big tests in Sheff Wed and Preston North End.

Wednesday are currently 9th in the table, Garry Monk finally won a first game in charge of a club. Although he hasn't been victorious since. And you just know that Adam Reach will try and shoot a “worldie” past us. As for Jordan Rhodes, back in the picture again. Best not go there...

Can Britt find his true Britt form and score his 50th goal at the Riverside in this the 501st home league game at the stadium. My 500th in actual fact. With a big Owls away following checking in lets hope we can provide an atmosphere and a result something in line with the Riverside opening match all those years ago when we put Chelsea and Ruud Gullit and all to the sword. Come on Britt, step up and find the net and emulate Higgy, from all those games ago.

Please click below to listen to our podcast previewing Sheff Wed, Preston and also looking ahead to October 19th and a walk to the oldest working railway bridge in the world for Discover Middlesbrough. Why do we mention this? Well, it is a special anniversary day today and lets make it a red letter day for Boro tomorrow and shoot down the Owls just as they are threatening to get into full flight.
