As the night's start to draw in and the leaves start to turn, you may be thinking of wrapping up and staying in doors but think again The Gathering Sounds is back this Saturday giving you 30+ reasons to stay out and about and enthuse to musical maestros in Stockton.

With 30+ artists, mainly, new, exciting, emerging acts performing over 6 stages in central Stockton this is a music fest to get excited about. What Stockton Calling has done for Easter optimism The Gathering Sounds can do for Autumn about town. Th music starts from 4pm this Saturday 28th September. Wristband exchange is from 3pm.

Much talked about national acts such as The Blinders, Sophie and the Giants and GEORGIE rub shoulders with more locally but equally talked about SWEARS, Head of Light Entertainment, Be Quiet Shout Loud! Heather Story and Charlotte Grayson.

This is the second Gathering Sounds festival programmed by the guys from KU Promotions who have brought acts to Stockton like Wolf Alice, Arctic Monkeys, Friendly Fires, Blossoms, The 1975, Circa Waves, Rat Boy, The Sherlocks, Pigeon Detectives and a whole lot more since 2002.

This year's cast features The Blinders, Dylan John Thomas, Sophie and the Giants, Talk Show, Martha Gunn, Queen Zee, The Illicits, Luna the Porfessor, Social Contract, Be Quiet. Shout Loud!, Motel Carnation, Andrew Chusin and Heather Story.

Lady Bird / GEORGIE / Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard / The Old Pink House / Arran George / Scott Lloyd / POZI / The C33s / Joe Garratt / Giraffes / Matt Wilde / SWEARS / Head Of Light Entertainment / Pink Tide / Charlotte Grayson/James Leonard Hewitson.

The acts will be entertaining all Saturday evening at six venues ARC, KU Bar, Ku 2, Georgian Theatre, Green Room and The Vault.

KU promotions, Jimmy Beck says, “With so many new acts out there we saw that there was room for another big showcase event for the towns calendar, The Gathering Sounds focus is much more on emerging acts across the stages and we are chuffed to bits that acts like The Blinders, Ladybird and Queen Zee are heading to Stockton.”
