Looking ahead to a first season under new Head Coach Jonathan Woodgate. Recorded live over a dodgy phone link between ground control in Lincoln and Ayresome Park via a satellite in space. In the month that marked 50 years since man first stepped out onto the moon we get optimistic about the mission ahead through the Championship season.

It was apt that this short podcast was recorded from Ayresome Park because the final competitive game played here was against Luton Town our opponents in the big kick off on Friday. Our paths have gone very separate ways in the intervening years. Since John Hendrie scored the winner at the Holgate End Luton have fallen down, down, deeper and down. Boro have hit the heights, plumbed the depths and enjoyed a few years up with the stars.

And here we are again building up to Friday when we will meet at Kenilworth Road. The last memories I have of the place are being hit for FIVE, the stewards cracking jokes, gallows humour and posing for photos by the pitch. Did they realise then that we wouldn't be passing through anytime soon?

Anyway, please have a listen to this very short 15 min podcast recorded on Friday on a phone link between Rob Nichols and Alex Lewczuk before the weekend's transfer signings and St-Etienne match but with enough encouragement already to be looking forward to the big kick off.

Come on Boro
