Boro need to get back on track with a victory at Ipswich tonight. After starting the season like a train we have come off the rails somewhat of late. Kick off 7.45pm - a long, long journey away in East Anglia.

Since the last international break Boro have been struggling to find a path to the net. Even so at Hull on Saturday we were chanting “top of the league” before the whole thing came crashing down around our ears. Wily Chris Martin, freshly booked for diving, crashed to the ground, throwing himself over Daniel Ayala’s foot and earning a penalty for his Tom Daley impression.

Will manager Tony Pulis be tempted to turn to other squad members. After his impressive performance in the cup at Preston, Sam McQueen was drafted in at Hull. This was only at best moderately successful. Stewy Downing could come back in from the start tonight but will he be joined by either Tav or Wing?

One change is a certainty. Five bookings for Adam Clayton means we will be without our energising midfielder. Will skipper Grant Leadbitter step up or could it Mo Besic in the role?

Ipswich have had a troubled start to life after Mick McCarthy. It is what the fans dreamed of but so far they have drunk huge doses of Portman blues. We have great memories of a late, late, end of season victory at Ipswich. Can we add to those memories today and finally get a couple of goals and bounce back towards the top of the championship again.

Boro fans will be setting off soon in a ridiculously long mid week journey. Sadly we cannot consign long hauls for weekends because more fans want their big awaydays closer to home. The away day regulars get out voted. let's hope we bring back a win tonight it will make that return journey so much easier to take.

Come on Boro and Up The Boro
