Boro take the pre season show on the road again at Rochdale tonight where manager Tony Pulis promises to shake up the team. Boro kick off at the ground formerly and fantastically known as Spotland at 7.30pm. Tickets on the door. Adults £10 Under 16s £5.

Following hot on the heels of our 4-3 defeat at Accrington Stanley, Tony Pulis will be looking to start other members of the squad. With Boro playing at Hartlepool (Friday) and Sunderland (Saturday) he is keen for everyone to get involvement and well needed match practice.

With rumours rippling around about Adama Traore escaping for £18m to Wolves Boro fans will be looking to see green shoots of new growth and development for next season. A few fans have already got flustered and hit the panic button apparently forgetting just how strongly we finished last season. Can Pulis use his first ever pre season to build on the firm foundations of that storming run in last term?

With a different starting line up tonight there might not be too many definitive signs for our prospects ahead. Pre season friendlies are all about giving everyone a run out and starting to put patterns in place. So I am looking forward to my first trip to Spotland and seeing a few positive signs for the road ahead. The season is drawing ever closer now. Exciting times ahead.
