It was the months of decline on the football field but we would like to think when the going gets tough we meet the challenge head on. Three of our very best issues in recent years hit the streets around the Riverside in our winter of discontented results and Spring time for Agnew.

Issue 573Issue 573 - Everton and StanisStan whispered the R word. But only whispered it, mind. We welcomed back Patrick (Bamford) but mourned the sad loss of the great Lindy Delaphena and also Martin Reagan, at the time the oldest surviving Boro player. Boro Boy Bari wrote a tender and heartfelt remembrance to his son Harroon with whom he shared so many lasting Boro memories.

Issue 574Issue 574 Man City (FA CUP) featured one of the most popular fanzine covers, replaying the hysterical historical scene of Boro’s last goal. There was an interview with Tony Wedlake telling is about the new Boro Family, Teesside Family Foundation. Also, we remember another Boro great with the press launch of the Ali Brownlee Riverside Run.

Issue 575Issue 575 Boro v Arsenal – looking for a miracle, an Easter resurrection of our Premier hopes. There is some Doom and Gloom in this issue but we are not ranting and raving merely picking the bones out where it all got away from us over these past three months. The penultimate fanzine of the Premier season and a chance to vote for your player of the season.

Issue 576 - Southampton It was May 13th and the final issue of our Premier season, the final issue of our brief Premier stay. Our coping mechanism was gallow humour. Uncle Harry gave us an End of Unpleasant Term Exam - 1) So the whole gastric band on the shirt thing a) What was the big idea b) Who's was it?  and c) What was their excuse? One big positive was the long (season) awaited, final instalment of Holmes and the Riverside.
