Can Boro finally secure a first home win of the season when Watford come north on Sunday. 1.30pm kick off at Riverside?

What a big win it would be. We will avoid over-hyping it as a six pointer but there is no question whatsoever that a victory over The Hornets would be so so timely. A great way to pick up the season after the latest international break and a major confidence boost ahead of some difficult looking fixtures starting with Arsenal away.

There was a tremendous atmosphere in the second half of the game v Spurs. We tried and failed to come back from those two first half goals from the superb Son. But we showed intensity, fight and desire on the pitch and the Riverside was a real cauldron of noise. More of the same on Sunday and it will be game on again for our Premier League campaign.

You can listen to the fmttm podcast, recorded this morning at Southside Broadcasting, debating the season so far. The possible disaster waiting to happen at the London Stadium rented by West Ham is not far from our thoughts. We look ahead to Sunday voicing some of the thoughts of the fanzine contributors of Issue 569 – which will be on sale around the game.

Watford have of course made an impressive start to the season. Every time they change manager (and that seems to be as often as you flip over the months of a calendar) you are expecting them to fall flat on their faces and yet they seem to continue to push on. It is uncanny, almost as if there was a plan to it all.

Can Boro shoot down Troy Deaney and co. It wasn’t so long ago since we were locking horns in the Championship. A victory on Sunday would go a long way to convincing the locals that it is going to be a long time before we are gracing the second tier of football again.
