Can Boro start with a real flourish? Or can we at least show promise that this could be a successful season. A season where we banish memories of dismal defeats and the eventual indignity of relegation.

Boro fan Lauri Cox tells it as she sees it. Soccer Am Soccerette and future tv anchor women we are privileged to get Lauri behind the fmttm fan cam lens and on the receiving end of my questions.

Yes, welcome to the first of what we hope will be a regular feature through this season a fmttm fan cam.

This will be a Boro fans eye view of the season as it progresses. In this first edition, Lauri Cox looks ahead to the new season in the Championship. We hear of her hopes and expectations as we make a fresh start but dropping down to the second level. Can we bounce back at the first attempt from the depressing downward spiral that saw us exit the top flight?

Lauri refers to this season as a bit of a “learning curve.” Likewise with this little video webcam shot on a flip recorder. This was very much us putting one foot in the water and testing things out. Your feedback would be very welcome although bear in mind things will be a lot better with time and especially as the football actually begins.

Lauri is excellent, she was not at all fazed by me calling her old right at the start. Horrendous of me. I meant to say you are not very old at all, not totally rude and saying you are not very young. Or perhaps it was an attempt at ironic humour.

Oh and I’ll sort the background out next time as well. Thinking up questions and filming is a real challenge for me, like chewing gum and walking to use an old President Gerry Ford joke.

So, in the words of former Horses Mouth MC Anvil Springstien, without further ado.. here is fmttm fan cam no.1 with Boro fan Lauri Cox.
