The weekend saw Ferguson announce that United had signed two full time scouts for the Brazilian league, in an attempt to find great talents to bring into the United youth team. While United has had scouts n Brazil, the club has identified this as the place they are going to source some talents youngsters for the United youth academy.

Already Ferguson has brought in the amazing talents of Anderson, the Da Silva brothers and Possebon. Already Rafael, who at the age of 18, has already shown his great potential to start filling Gary Neville’s shoes on the right back position and his brother, Fabio, who has yet to play a major game for United, but seems likely to fill the boots of Patrice Evra down the left back position.

Only this past week United and Real Madrid have been linked with another 18 year old Brazilian, Douglas Costa, who seems to have a great talent in the midfield and could also prove a useful signing for Sir Alex as he seeks replacements for Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs who are both nearing the end of their careers.

Ferguson is following his tried and trusted way of bringing in the young talented players. After ‘92 when he brought in a whole group of young players, including Giggs, Beckham, Neville brothers and Scholes. At that point all talents; all of them without much of a reputation in the publics eyes. We all remember the ‘99 accomplishment when all 5 of the players were in their prime, though it did not stop there United have bagged many trophies under the watchful gaze of Sir Alex Ferguson and the brilliant eyes of the United scouts bringing in star players to make the Dream Team to fill the Theatre of Dreams with success.
