Tevez seems anxious about signing a permanent deal with United, as has been the talk since the beginning of the season, but United are yet to approach him with a deal. In some papers Tevez yesterday reporters claimed there was a delay in the signing of Tevez and that he really was not wanted at United. Though recalling United’s trip to South Africa both club and player confirmed a deal would be signed before the end of 2008, leaving plenty of time. United did respond with a statement critising the papers as both player and club felt things were on track and they still had plenty of time to conclude the deal.
