If fairly obvious that this isnít ever likely to happen, as it would of been concluded by now. This is no criticism of Sealey or other made up suitors, I firmly believe the blame is with Amar

From a personal point of view my patience has worn so thin with goings on at the club that I no longer look forward to or enjoy matchdays. Iíve tried to keep going but itís got to breaking point now.

Our risk of relegation is increasing due to poor results and the looming points deduction which I personally think will see us hit the bottom of the league as the EFLs punishments are so erratic

My preferred choice now would be for MTFC to fold completely, clear the slate of the bag eggs and build up again from the bottom. I used to disagree with this approach but with the Bury situation we could have a local rival in those leagues with us to compete and make it slightly more interesting

Thoughts?

I think the takeover is so opaque that it's hard to know what to think - I can't fathom how AA's apparent indifference stacks with all these new faces coming in and the training ground is back etc etc. Despite my other posts I think MK is a good appointment as long as he changes how he tries to develop the style he wants. Team thinking and all that. I think we'll be OK unless the EFL pull an absolute bomb shell on the fines.

There is an optimistic scenario... The takeover by the Sealeys is concluded in the next month. The new signings bed in and we get a few wins. The points deductions do not get any worse and we get some points back. We avoid relegation. There is investment in the ground, pitch and squad over the summer. We start next year with new hope and 750+ season tickets sold.

The biggest concern has to be what if we don't have a new owner by the time the court date comes around, i truly believe Amar has run out of viable excuses now for not paying his debts.

The action the courts could take will see the season over in a worst case scenario.

The court issue is probably the least of our worries, just look at Bury they have had no income since August or before and still arenít wound up or liquidated. The EFL existing charges and missing / losing more games is by far the biggest issue

I donít believe The takeover will ever happen. Even if it did who in their right might would buy a business with debts at an over inflated price with a high risk that in 3 months that businesses income could be reduced by £1.2m+ through relegation and potentially not allowed in to the next league down?

Anyone with even a slight bit of acumen would not put their money on the line with such high stakes

The court is irrelevant for this season.

Even if the very worst happens an a winding up order is sort, it will have a 6 month window on it that will see it cancelled if the sums are paid. Either way we will see out this season if it's just a court order to wind-up

We are on a knife edge now, we could lose the next three or four games 1-0 and be at the bottom. Need goals and fast from these new lads.

Deep joy! [|)]

I think oilboil is right about the WUP. There's probably more chance of peace in the Middle East, than the courts taking any sort of effective action here.

But the clock is still ticking. If he wants to sit tight for very much longer, AA (aka 'The Club') will have to come up with a credible argument to sell STs for next season, and part fans from yet more of their hard-earned cash.

I know what my answer will be if he comes knocking.

If he sells season tickets cheap enough I'll buy one as they will still be valid the next season regardless of who is the owner (league rules on sales of tickets for member clubs)

Valid maybe, but what level of football might you be watching ob, if the club goes belly up at the end of the season?

Not sure I see your logic Oilboil

A rotten tomato is still a tomato, but would you still buy it cheap and eat it knowing it was rotten?

I donít advocate boycotts but buying a season ticket for next season is only facilitating Amars summer booze up, whatever the price is

Assuming we are still in League 2 (or even the conference) next season I will see the same football I would see if I waited 6 months to buy the season ticket.

So as I don't think we will go pop if I buy it now for £150 quid rather than £300 in August then I've got a great deal.

Oil Boil have you considered that if we get relegated due to our financial history the Conference might not have to let us play in their league

The erstwhile Mr Trafford told my brother on Tuesday that he doubts very much there will be any early bird offers.
