I can't see Amar putting his signature to a contract that involves someone that sued him.

When he sells the club then we may well see Duzza returning under the new owner

There would be a big question mark over fitness/match readiness. If he has only started 4 games, is he ready to come in and do a job for us?

That said, we need extra bodies in and I can't see him demanding a big wage.

On 20th Feb. 2018 we played Tranmere away. Danny W scored two and Elliott scored two outstanding goals and we won 4 - 1. From that point on Tranmere (fans, players and managers] gave up hope of winning the title. It soon became clear that they aimed to get promoted through the playoff's. That day they ceased to believe, that day Elliott was a class above any other player on the field. That's how I will remember him.
Shortly after that Elliott go injured and didn't play again that season. He was never the same again. I will remember him for the bright star he was and for his contribution to our winning the National League Championship by 10 points.[^]

AP_Macc it doesn't necessarily make him a disgrace, but there were others who hadn't been paid who decided in the best interest of all not to air their dirty boxers in public.

I can't see how Amar would ever let him back inside the players changing room, and I certainly can't see how Duzza would ever reach such a low point in his life that his best option was to come back to a club that wouldn't pay him and only did so under threat of closure. I'm hoping he has more moral fibre and pride than to subject himself to that sort of embarrassment

I don't disagree if it was my club we'd have his signature on a contract already.

But unfortunately our owner is a no-brainer and is good at holding a grudge so until Amar is gone there is zero chance of Elliott putting a Macc shirt back on (except in the stands watching with us)

As I said he's a hero until he isn't.

The fact he has signed for that lot suggests he really doesn't think all that fondly on his time with us or he would have had more about him than to squander his status on such a pitiful move.

Time to remove him from the "hall of legends" he's just another piece of Alty Scum now and if you are a true Silkman fan you'll hate him with every fibre of your being

Brian Fidler , Steve Burr etc are legends. Would never sign for that lot.
So, heís now part time 2 leagues below and presumably not properly fit ( or why couldnít he get a start at York ? ).
He was excellent for us over a short spell and will be remembered for that, but a legend ? Never.

Regardless of ED signing for Alty, the real issue for him is that no other clubs above them in the footballing pyramid were interested in signing him up

Itís some fall from League 2 after putting in some admirable shifts at that level, to basement conf north team.

It suggests heís a bad egg, has had bad advice or has a serious enough injury for a full time team not to want to risk it. Or his wage demands were extortion and Alty the only ones that could afford [:o)]

Durrell had the ability to play at a higher level but did not have the dedication regarding fitness and weight control to fulfil his talent .
I wonder if in the future he will regret wasting this talent .
At the start of last season he came back overweight, partly the clubs fault for not getting his injury sorted in close season but also partly his .
A sensible diet would have helped towards his weight control.

I thought Eliott was one of the best creative forward thinking playmakers we've had in years. Even As key sent his name outside the town hall when the team paraded through town with the vanarama title...'we've got Durell..." first game a defeat against Spennymoor, but he manages to get on the scoresheet immediately!

I think you can just about forgive a true legend down on their luck (or at the @rse end of their career) going to Alty for a few games.

You can forgive an ex-player (who was a legend) going there to help out in the management - after all he might be able to make them a palatable club (doubt it)

But its unrealistic to think you can play for Alty and have previously tried to get the club put out of business in the high court and still be called a legend.

Duzza doesn't care about Macc, hasn't since before he took us to court and the sooner we all put this to bed the better
