At this sad time at the club, is it not time we had a meeting for any fans to attend. Either an open SST meeting or a Fans Forum. In the past a fund was opened to provide John with money for players, maybe something should be done for player's wages in the short term.We want to see our 1st Team playing in the league.

I think maybe we could come up with some sort of hardship fund for the players, but it should not be dispersed until after either the player leaves or the club folds - otherwise we just let Amar off the hook; why would he pay them if we will. Assuming we get a new owner (or Amar starts paying) the funds in the hardship collection could be donated to the SST to buy more shares or invest in the ground someway

One problem with your argument Oil Boil, the players and staff may not have the savings to pay everyday bills and will need finance to pay these things whilst the money is waiting to be dispersed.

Very true, I don't know the answer to that, but I do know that if someone else pays the players there is no way that Amar would... I suppose it is possible that the players could use us like a "factoring" agency. We agree to pay them a proportion of the money owed, they agree to immediately repay that money on payment from the club. That means the club still owes the player as the payment they have received is essentially a mortgage from the SST. This means if the club did fold, the players have still had something and they have still retained their "preferred creditor" status so the SST could also recoup their spends to finance a phoenix. I just wish none of these discussions were even necessary... Normally I just come down on the side of the owner wons it and can do what they want, but just recently Amar has pushed it so far that even I'm finding his actions (or lack of) hard to come to terms with.

How would he know what has been paid to them as it would be a private matter. Also wages are paid in arrears so we wouldn't be over paying them especially if he was late again next month or didn't pay at all. They need to have it now!!!

I am sure in the old days the PFA used to step in and help players until they were paid. Clearly not the case anymore

Gordon Taylor gets £42k a week - he could donate a weeks salary to support our [players
