Looking at all the recent press releases about the dour goings on at our club, I explored options which could be taken to put a halt to the circus which is surrounding it.

1. Ramy ltd. (Amar) sell the club
Unlikely given that previous offers have been rebuffed due to insistence on reclaiming all previous expenditure.

2. Ramy ltd. find external investment to clear debts and continue running of club.
Again unlikely as it is clear that the investment would have to be for a sustained period until the club became self sufficient.

3. Club goes into Administration
As bad as this may seem this is probably the best option in the current situation. Yes the 10 point deduction would possibly put our league status under threat but an administrator would take over the running of the club and look to sell the assets (players, etc.) or find a prospective buyer who would clear the debts and debitors (8p in the pound). The hope here would be one of the previous buyers would return and provide the a viable long term option to run the club.

4. The club is wound-up and liquidated.
The end, gone, nada. This is obviously the worst option and does not bear thinking about. Would mean a phoenix club could/would have to be started in its place.

I'm not a legal expert so I may be way off the mark with my thoughts, happy for others to put me right though.

I am very uncomfortable with administration.
To me it is the easy option and gives no consideration to the companies and their employees and the money that they would lose through having had the misfortune to deal with MTFC

Yes Administration for me to it's the only way to see the back of our major shareholder.

Trouble is, there's a risk you lose control with administration, depending on how we enter the process (voluntary or involuntary).

You could enter administration AND be liquidated if the administrator concludes there's no viable way out.

Admin would be an unpalatable option, and the points deduction would see us bottom of L2, but we can't carry on like this.

At least administrators would take a pragmatic view regarding any bids which might come along, but of course, if nothing viable was forthcoming, as Askey14 says, it could still mean the chop!

I think a variant of 2) may be possible with a foreign club taking a stake in our club for the development of players in what is seen globally as a great football league.

I see great young players in the middle east who would thrive given a chance in UK. Top clubs over here like Al Hilal (Saudi) Al Sadd (Qatar) Al Ain (UAE) Ahli and Zamalek Egypt)all have outstanding youngsters and are huge and rich clubs owned by prominent arabs.

Of course there would be challenges but i believe Amar is a footballing man, and would be able to broker the deal, cash injection into the club in return for a partnership where players can be exchanged for season long loans etc. Amar if you want my help the staff at the club have my contact details.

I think Man City and Man Utd have arrangements with dutch and belgian clubs of a similar type.

No doubt there will be the usual negative responses but like all on this board i care about OUR club and anything other than administration is a potentially better idea.

A very interesting post 4evermacc. I.ve not seen such a strategy suggested before. If it is possible to go along this route I for one - a supporter since 1965 - would be 100% in favour.[^]

I think the well informed on this board would say that the Arab world may no longer trust AA because of past dealings. IMHO of course. I think the required investment would have to come from within our shores and possibly in the Mersey/Bollin catchment.
