We missed him last night. No one to organise and missed his bite in midfield. Have been impressed with his attitude and skill all season

True Jay had a suspension to serve but come at a good time as he has a nasty injury to his ankle with stitches and started walking on it yesterday

Unless someone shakes the magic money tree, I'm thinking if we engage in any transfer activity at all in Jan, it will probably have to be on a 'one in, one out' basis.

Stoke born, former Congleton Town player Matt Rhead was recently released by Billericay Town - having joined them from Lincoln City over the summer. If he fancies a move back to the area, he could be used as a 'battering ram' up front; and to meet the 'one in, one out' criteria presumably the likes of Adam Dawson and Peter Vincenti are surplus to requirements...

Can’t understand why we haven’t arranged for a couple to go out on loan to non-league sides. Mentioning no names, there’s some who aren’t even near making the bench - in one case not even in the Mickey Mouse cup.

I'd love Matt Rhead to sign for us, he'd be a real asset. But what chances in the current environment ?

There is no chance that we could afford Matt Rhead. He was at Billericay prior to the Chairman, Glenn Tamplin, pulling the plug. No-one in our squad will be on even half of what Billericay were paying...
