So....if Macc get a five point or more deduction and that is the difference between us staying up next season do you think they should then hang their heads in shame? Just wondering.

I had heard that the thrown glass at the last game coupled with this is why there could be a whopping fine and point deduction.

Me neither.and Buxton spot on also plenty of violence at horse race meeting s and rugby league now, talking of cricket what about that violence aftenr the Afghanistan v Pakistan world cup game was a riot at Headingly and onlyytwo arrested for minor offences,if it had been football u can bet the police would analysis the CCTV footage big time before making about 50 arrests...

Yeah I agree. The police have been very heavy handed here and "fans" should be allowed to raid the pitch and be aggressive and stuff.

Is anyone suggesting that levels of violence at other sporting occasions diminish the problems at football events?

We should be setting an example. For heaven's sake, it's a football match, not World War 3!

Looked like the usual wafting handbags to me..... but as stated earlier, the instructions about not going onto the pitch were clear. Choices........
If the bottle-thrower gets us points deducted, he/she should be paraded in front of the fans. Then we'll see how 'big' they are. People in The Star Lane know who it was.
If we get fined, he/she should pay it not the rest of us, through the club. Simple justice.

If they hadn't been allowed on the pitch in the first place by I don't know how many Crewe stewards then it would not have happened, that is a fact..

That's probably true Rick but retaliation / provocation is no defence in law. Going onto the pitch is not allowed. If some drunken idiots from Crewe run over and say some unkind words to you, it is still not allowed. Fortunately several hundred of us, including yourself, get this and don't climb over the fence and run on the pitch. They only have themselves to blame.
