The 'paying punters' of Salford City in no way reflect the capital investment....like Fylde. The 'fans' are on the mere fringe of the cash swilling around in their business.

Average league attendance at Salford was 2489 this season.

Should be a reasonable pay day for us. (Assuming we haven't fallen into the abyss by then).

F*UCK Salford and all their money. Buying promotions whilst losing tens of thousands of pounds isnít anything to be proud of.

Iíd rather be where they are financially than where we are now. At least theyíve some certainty about next season which we havenít.

Nobody likes the system, but I'm inclined to agree with cj. The difference between us and Salford is that they can AFFORD to lose tens of thousands without turning a hair.

The problems will come if/when their backers start to look around for another plaything.

The major difference is the wealth of the owners; take for instance Beckham (who owns 10%) it's reported that the Beckham family are now worth £1BN of £750m.

So if he just stuck it all in the bank and got 2% interest on it, that's £15M he could fritter away without affecting his own wealth.

Then add in Peter Lim (owns 40%) and worth $2.4BN and you can see that Salford are really only using up the cash these people lose down the sofa cushions.

To put it into perspective if Amar spent the same percentage amount of his net worth on Macc that the salford oners have spent it would only cost him about £50 a year

The problem isn't that Salford have bought promotion, it's that we can't attract a rich enough sugar daddy to compete with them

Wouldn't mind an ex ManU player coming along to bankroll us for a while. Or even a Peter Crouch or Ricky Lambert would make a difference.
