Is it me or did anyone else get the impression that our manager has already written off next week's game against Lincoln City when asked about our game against the league leaders? Granted, most Silkmen fans who are travelling to Sincil Bank will be there in hope rather than expectation but come on Sol, this club is built on an 'against all odds' mentality! You talked about the cup finals that remain, therefore you can't write off this cup final. Mountains are there to be climbed, we need to fight, believe and head to Lincolnshire knowing that football is a funny old game and anything can happen! [^]

Last season was a fairytale, who says another chapter can't be written!

mmm think he was alluding to keeping the score down as a minimum due to goal difference. Got to be realistic here

"Granted, most Silkmen fans who are travelling to Sincil Bank will be there in hope rather than expectation".

So what do you expect Sol to say?!

I suspect he'll be acknowledging the challenge ahead in public, but telling his players we can spring a shock if Lincoln are complacent.

Last season WAS a fairytale, Cap'n W, but you don't often get 2 in succession.

This season has largely been a nightmare so far.

It's not beyond the bounds of possibility that we could somehow wrestle a point from the Imps, but our error-strewn defending and missed chances are telling me otherwise.

One thing in our favour may be the weight of expectation on Lincoln shoulders as they close in on the league title after a long unbeaten run.

We'll just have to hope that it's 'one of those days'. It's a pity we can't have a share of the gate money! 😊

Letís just say it doesnít sound like Sol is treating this like a cup final. More important to be at our very best for the two home games that follow.

Interesting Sol is no longer talking about pulling away from the drop zone and concedes he thinks the battle will go down to the wire,

A reasonable assertion after an unconvincing performance on Sat
