STEVENAGE ON SATURDAY

Another must win game on Saturday I would say. Some encouragement can be taken from Stevenage's recent away form. In their last 4 away games they have scored just 4 goals and won 0 drawn 3 and lost 1.
In their last 6 games overall they have managed just 1 win with 3 draws and 2 defeats.
Come on you blues!

Should we keep the same starting eleven?

No too many CBs put in extra midfielder Evans and Wilson up front.

O'Hara wasn't one of the final 3 GK's in the RoI squad selected to play Gibraltar saltpie - so we should be seeing him on Saturday.

I'd like to see Danny Whitaker play some part and rather more than the last 60 seconds.

At Yeovil we had what I thought was pretty much all our best players on the pitch together. When I saw the lineup before kickoff I thought it was a good team. Why change it for Stevenage ? You can always make the case for including eg DW , Wilson etc, but a settled team and method is more important than fiddling around with formations. We'll have a strong bench if we need to change during a match.

I am inclined to agree that we should probably put our faith in the players that brought back 3 priceless points from Yeovil.

I'm sure Sol will have done his homework regarding Stevenage, and if we need to make individual changes to the lineup to counteract their strengths and exploit their weaknesses, then he will be on it.

Regarding DW, legend that he is, we have 9 games remaining this season, and I would be interested to hear from the man himself, as to what he sees as his role at the club going forward now.

I agree, don't change a winning team.

Would you seriously want Whitaker to start? He's not started a game for about 4 months- no match fitness. Bring him on with 30 to go if we need a goal and if we are winning and need to keep possession. No chance start him though.

I genuinely think we will stay up with the starting eleven we played. Durrell, Stephens and Cole are great technical players at this level and Smith is a real asset. With that front 4 we will be a threat to any team in this league.

It was a big plus for me to see Durrell get a full 90mins in at Yeovil.

I think he has the potential to have a massive say in the outcome of our season for the remaining games if he can approach full fitness.

The club made a big mistake not getting Durrell's injury properly sorted LAST March. He should have had an operation in April, with pre season to recover, then he'd have been fit and firing at the start of the season. There's no doubt we'd have more points on the board if the club had acted properly.

Agreed, we should also not have waited until January to give Wilson a chance. No one else was scoring and he is now our top scorer by a mile.

He was top scorer by a mile last season but Askey didn't play him much after Christmas.

Need a good result today ahead of a trip to Lincoln who have lost 4 games in the last 38.

We've lost 20 of the last 37.
