Anyone know the reason the club are due in Companies Winding up court tomorrow? I know we have financial issues and issues paying the players, could it be due to this? I didnít realise we were on the brink of being wound up?

Itís nice the club let its fans know about this rather having to find out through an official government winding up list.

Is this something that happens when any creditor gets fed up waiting to be paid and takes it to court ? Maybe we owe the pieman again. Not good PR whatever it is .

Seems to be a common occurrence with struggling clubs but glad we arenít Oldham. The owner was signing the players and picking the team signing players on three year deals who were useless and then not paying for he the pies etc. At least AA is not getting that involved no danger there.

Maybe something to do with Askey's unpaid bonus from last season?

I've not renewed mine and don't blame anyone who hasn't .
All the money received at present will be used to pay off debts and present wages and bills and in 12 months time we could be having the same conversation again.
We have signed several players in January when it is obvious now that we didn't have the funds to pay for them , some of whom we have hardly seen and weren't required.
I thought that the owner would have learnt his lesson about finances after the Steve King fiasco.

Is this not the second time this season we have been on a list of companies to be wound up by HMRC due to unpaid bills. Given that we have the regular payments from the Football League and income is fairly predictable from home gates and sponsors I don't understand why this happens. What unexpected bills or costs have their been? Surely SC has not been allowed to swell the salary bill in January with no budget control.

All i would say is if it means macc going into adminatration and being deducted points with non payment of the money to anybody who has not got a season ticket get one now i would not want to lose points if it means we would be relgated or decucted at the start of next season
