Did he come over to the fans at the end of the Yeovil game or not

Half. He walked over behind the players but didn’t stand at the front and physically clap but he did wander over a bit. A positive step I guess.

I think that in pretty much every post match interview, Sol has acknowledged the positive contribution of our fans, especially at away games.

I can see where some are coming from with this, but the only thing that matters to me, as a lifelong Macc fan, is that we can somehow avoid the drop this season.

Maybe he doesn't feel he's achieved enough yet to go to the fans in a mutual applause of effort.

He definitely applauded the fans from a distance on saturday at Yeovil - He also applauded them at Crawley.

Given the Macc fans made a round trip of close to 10 hours fo the Yeovil game I would have thought Sol could have at least have made the effort to walk 30m or so to visibly thank the supporters for their loyalty (not least after 7 winless games)

I guess we all have different values...

Here is a quote from Sol on the OS after the magnificent victory at Yeovil....

'They’ve travelled hours and hours to be at the game and we heard them in full voice supporting the team, which is amazing to hear in our situation” said the manager.

“They chanted, they cheered and they pushed the lads on, so it was a great encouragement. Hats off to all the fans who came.'

Maybe he didn't come over and give them a standing ovation at the end, but I really don't think there is any evidence at all to suggest that Sol doesn't genuinely appreciate the fantastic support given by our fans, both home and away.

His ONE job is to keep MTFC in the football league. For God's sake stop all this stupid, wanting him to give you all a clap for supporting your team. Take great comfort from the fact that he must read what is posted on here as he seems to be following (at least)some of the advice written regarding team selection.

I think he quite rightly stayed behind his players so that they took the applause they fully deserved.[^]

I agree. , and people should also realise that it is a Football League requirement that managers must also give interviews to the media straight after games . It’s great that we now get interviews before and after games .

In my opinion there is only one thing more boring than manager interviews and that is player interviews.

They all talk in cliches and you never learn anything though there may often be complaints of the "we wuz robbed" nature.

I agree we should not expect the manager to applaud the travelling supporters it is for the supporters and the players to interact.

A quote from Sol's pre-Stevenage interview.....

'The life and soul of the club is the fans'.

That's all the interaction I need.

Well after the Stevenage ticketing/seating debacle, it's evident that AA & MB don't see them as such.

I agree, otb. It should be evident by now that AA and MB will do what they want, when they want.

I don't know whether there is a genuine problem regarding the area affected by the ban, but it would have been good to see the issue aired before actually arriving at the ground yesterday, to be confronted by extra stewards, barrier tape and general confusion.

A hasty 'explanation' on the OS after the event doesn't really cut it.
