5 from 9 to stay up

If and it's a big if we can do this we may stay up looking at remaining fixtures vale don't have an easy run in having to go to bury mk dons and Exeter so they could easily get dragged into it
Stevnage win
Lincoln loss
Exeter draw
Morecambe win
Newport win
Cambridge win
Forest green loss
Northampton loss
Vale draw

Even this set of results might see us stay up , one thing we can not rely on is other teams doing us favours and draws are no use I would rather go for wins and take a chance.

Apart from Lincoln away, they’re all winnable

3 points from Stevenage would be priceless on Sat with our rivals all having fairly tough games....

MK (3rd) v Yeovil
Notts C v Exeter (7th)
Vale v FGR (6th)
Swindon (13th) v Morecambe

I would say beating Stevenage is almost as important as winning at Yeovil was. We still have ground to make up and I get the impression that Notts County are making a push for survival. Three points on Saturday is a must to build the momentum and confidence.

I'd also add Cambridge as a possible candidate for the 'horrendous end of season plummet down the table'

Their form is spotty at best with recent wins including scraping 1-0 past both Notts County and Port Vale - two of the worst teams in the league.

They travel to Gigg Lane on Sat

This seasons plummet team is Yeovil, who will, I think, survive as our run in is much tougher.

One swallow does not a summer make.

Yeovil away to MK this Saturday. Vital that we get 3 points to really put the pressure on them before we have an awesomely difficult trip to Lincoln.

We will probably lose against Stevenage then win at Lincoln. I still think it is Yeovils decision who goes down. Great result last week but I still think it would be a miracle if we escape the drop. Also, from what I have seen this season we are probably one of the two poorest teams in the league.

I think that maybe a bit harsh, SoH.

I don't agree, based on the games that I have seen, that we are one of the two worst in the league.

We have played decent football more often than not, and our failings have largely been through defensive shortcomings, or through not capitalising on good attacking opportunities.

I think the basic talent in the squad is there, especially with proven players returning to fitness now, and I still think we have every chance of staying up, if we can hold our nerve, and grind out the points from our remaining games.

A lot of our best players have missed large chunks of the season. If we can keep everyone fit for the run in we have a good chance of staying up.

I agree Lymeview. Win on Saturday and the optimism should return to most of the fans and more importantly to the players.

What a massive 5 minutes today we were bottom and then it all. Changed a point makes a huge difference other teams are slowly getting dragged into the dogfight

We didn't win today but it felt like we did with others losing around us
4 home 4 away we have a game in hand but that is against Exeter
At this stage I think macc are 50/50 stay up
By Easter we should have a clearer picture.
