For next home game against Stevenage on 23 March the weather basically has to be dry as I would not want to see two home games in a row postponed due to bad weather which I would find a disgusting disgrace. I saw a photo of the pitch online yesterday and there was unfortunately no way the game could be played as one corner was very underwater. Here's hoping the weather will be dry for the next home game.

I can remember playing on worse than the pitch pictured online on Tuesday. Footballers aren't as tough as they used to be [:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

Having the constant deluge of rain it was no surprise that area of the pitch was underwater. For more years than I care to remember this area has always been a problem. I believe the drainage issue is caused by a culvert underground that runs in that area of the pitch

There is a long standing problem in that corner, but in general the pitch drains well.

There have been complaints in the past that the surface has been too hard, dry and bouncy on occasion.

Faintly amusing to see the pre-Exeter 'boating lake' picture of the ground immediately above the details of the new fixture date, where the pitch is being watered!
