I think we will have to be at the absolute top of our game to get anything out of this one.

Right team selection, right tactics, high tempo and 110% commitment

I will go for an optimistic 1-1 (Blissett).

Maybe im just being optimistic. I feel confidence should of grown from Forest Green and we now know we do have a bit of oomph to compete with some sides with real quality.I guess a cold tuesday night in Wales will show what bottle our lads have?!

Just shows what the old guard can do- all you have to do is pick em. They came back from 2-0 down Sat so we have to beware now. Ryan is bricking it now at 2-0 as that's his score.

Doesn't matter what we have done in last but nine games it's how we go on through the season that matters. Least we have the right team on and only need Scotty to run through and score another.

MY seems to have at last realised that last seasons squad did not win the National League by chance. If we can get Durrell back and Evans in the side we may start climbing up the league. Let's hope we can come back from South Wales with 3 points after leading at half time.

Sounds like a better performance than some. Itís really hard though to take seriously a manager who took 10 games to work out that his best team is the one that includes the players that won a title last year.

Sickening to draw so late in the game but itís a good battling result in the context of a difficult fixture. Apparently the ref was appalling - read their managers comments. No surprise that he canít tell the time !!

Just back. A really battling performance from the lads. Keith Lowe and Fitz outstanding. Hodgkiss up against a really lively left winger Kelleher did ok. Midfield looks weak but Koby Vincenti and MayXXXXXX did ok. Blissett again win every ball and along with Tyrone ran his socks off Wilson struggled a bit but was clearly brought down when through second half and ref who was poor for both sides at times gave them a free kick Twocracking pens from Fitz

Our problem isnít the results tonight and against Forest Green. The problem is that our best players are last seasons players and the new signings havenít improved the team. Add in the injuries and the fact the manager didnít play Hodgkiss and Lowe in their right positions until the Forest Green game - thatís why we are 4 points adrift.

Really makeshift midfield when you consider that we had 5 midfielders missing, all of whom would have started ahead of those who played.

Agreed, a decent away point taking the Newport game in isolation, but we have already given ourselves a mountain to climb with (after Saturday), a quarter of the season elapsed.

No win or clean sheet after 11 games. The Newport result made the maths elegantly simple. On average, we are scoring one and conceding 2 every game.

You probably don't need Mr Micawber to predict the outcome.

A Mountain to climb? Get real it's hardly unsurmountable.
If we were in 5th place and four points adrift , would you say that we had no chance of winning the league, it's the same number of points.
The last two performances have been better ,they couldn't have got much worse, so there is something to build on and hopefully we can get something on Saturday but if we don't it's not the end of the season.

A very good result though the bitter, bitter disappointment at the end takes any pleasure away. However we would have taken that at the start so the team has reason to be positive. Even Yates seems to now realise that he should be starting as many of last years boys as possible. Just a few bits of luck, injuried players coming back and we may have a glimmer of a chance, two wins would change everything.

'If we were in 5th place'. If only. Of course, it isn't insurmountable. The question is, with the current squad, and the present manager at the helm, how likely do you think we are to surmount it?

There have been glimmers of hope in the last couple of games, but will we be able to build on them?

'Hopefully we can get something on Saturday but if we don't it's not the end of the season.' Hmm. If we lose to Notts County, how confident will you be that we can move forward under the current set-up?

Possibilities and probabilities are totally different things.

We start here. Write off the first nine games and we look something like a side even with some of our best regulars missing. Let's go forward it's 0-0 when we kick off and we have everything to play for. The back room situation won't change and we can't change it so let's support the team now it's the right one.

The team is now much better balanced but our midfield (without the current injured midfielders) is palpably weak, and this puts pressure on our backline and forwards [:O].

Kind regards
