Yes, we lost 8 0
Yes, we’ve drawn two and lost seven of the first nine league games.

But, we are not a laughing stock.

l am a West Han forgive me for joining your forum, but after reading the BBC news, just had to say you are definitely not a laughing stock. l was not present, my mate was and he said you have some bright players, just did not work out on the night. You need to get behind your team, they need you more than ever. West Ham are notorious for getting on the player's backs if they are not doing well, l have been to more games than l care to remember where the team has been booed off, but this helps nothing, just adds pressure to next game. We are the laughing stock, we don't own our ground, your fans who were there last night will see it is not a football stadium, no West Ham fan l have spoken to wanted to leave Upton Park. They made 8.7 million profit from the sale of our beloved ground, they ripped the soul out of the club. Sure this season they bought some players, but so they should with the money they get from the Premier League. You read in the press every week about legal disputes with the stadium owners the whole thing is a joke. None of my mates were laughing at your team today, we had a good night, unfortunately you didn't. l sat there and watched Wolves score a last minute winner, beaten by Bournemouth at home too, that sick gut wrenching feeling in the bottom of your stomach, all West Ham fans know this, but we get behind the team, you need to now. l am going to follow Macclesfield now, might get up to watch a game. Chin up everyone, no true West Ham supporters are laughing.

Bubbles, I believe that the Hammers bought central defender Paul Hilton off Bury having thrashed the Shakers back in 1983 (10-0). Do you think Pellegrini would be interested in any of our lot? They are all for sale.

Who was the boy last night who did that outrageous bit of skill, he looked good ? Is not about the players now, it is the unity of every Macclesfield fan getting behind the club. All your players will be going home feeling sick to the bone, everyone will feel that pain, l am sure they want to achieve. Last season we were doomed before Moyes came in and saved us, the teamed were booed off every half of all the games, but he made a plea for the fans to get behind the players and it worked. Don't give up on your team, season has just begun, they need you more than ever. We lost our first four games this season, the only club in all the leagues to do this, put we went to Everton and got the win, then the draw with Chelsea, your team could too, only with the fans though.

Bubbles mate, it's not our team. It's not the team that won the National League by ten points. This is a team of poor quality players brought in by a clueless manager who replaced John Askey, who was forced out by a usless chairman and owner. Most of last season's team can't make the squad or are sitting on the bench. There are problems at this club that outsiders don't understand. Thanks for the kind words though.

l thought John Askey was brilliant with what he achieved at your club, his record speaks for itself. l loved Slaven Billic when he came to West Ham, but he lost his way, seemed to lack tactics at the end, but when you listen to him as a commentator, he is spot-on. You see so many clubs now make the wrong decision and get rid of managers if they lose a few games. Clubs need time, my hope is Macclesfield come together and start winning ways. l understand the team is not what the fans want, but you have to make the best of what you have. l won't write anymore on your forum, just to say l wish you all the best, you did it before, you know how to win, hopefully it will come soon. l read most of the threads on here, Macclesfield's fans really know their football, it will come.

Thanks for your wise words Bubbles. Beating us 8-0 is almost made up for you trouncing Man U earlier today. I am a 'retired City fan' enjoying the green fields of nearby Macclesfield, so watching United suffer makes up for years of being 'laughed at' by their fans as a kid, even when we beat them. The Dennis Law winner v United in....... (Ron, help me out please)..... was the sweetest of all.
You are dead right to say players ( = human beings) will not thrive on constant abuse in any walk of life, though many people are subject to it and do 'go under' or become bullies themselves.
Just to illustrate this, my son played for a Macc Boys team coached by Rick Shaw. Early on they lost many games with high scores but in Rick's philosophy, it was always back to 0-0 no matter what the score.
Their last game together they won the Cheshire Youth Cup v Winsford Diamonds, one of the sweetest victories I ever saw in a football match. While other teams' parents were effing and blinding at their kids, Macc Boys just got on with it, the 'fans' on the touch line (literally, and often running with a flag) supported them all the way. For all of us the Diamonds' match was worth all the years standing in freezing weather, no toilets, no tea, snow flakes slapping into you like wet nappies, your kids blue with cold......
All our clubs' players have been there as kids, and hopefully someone encouraged them enough to carry on to where they are now.
I'm not at the FGR game, as I'm on a Spanish mountain...but connected to the commentary. C'mon Macc!
