MY... How about putting out a side that is as near last year's line up as possible. Start with:
Taylor, Hodgkiss, Lowe, Kelleher, Fitzpatrick, Whitaker, Evans (if recovered), Arthur, Marsh, Bissett and Wilson.
Let's see how that works.

Such a big game. It's a shame, would be a good game to get a new manager boost for.

I can't see the attendance being too high...

After that drubbing last night it is even more important that we put in a good performance on Saturday. The club may have earned over £100,000 from the game at the national stadium and the players and management should be thanked for that.
Now can we get a first win in League Two followed by a draw away to Newport and a second home win against Notts County? 7 points from the next three games should be the target.

Even a point against FGR would provide a bit of a boost. MY is visibly crumbling under the pressure.

I think the board have to ask themselves if they can see things getting any better.

Decisive action needed else his successor will be left with ‘mission impossible’

No joke onephilpower... We must get at least 5 points from the next three games, preferably more or the task of saving the season will be gone and so might MY.

Sorry BB but I am possibly being pessimistic here but the way things are I can't see this team winning a game this season.
I hope I am wrong, on Saturday I would go back to basics , the first priority would be keeping a clean sheet, we've not had one all season and build from there.
Unfortunately because of injuries and suspension we are down to about 18 players so the squad picks itself.
For the starting 11 I would go with O'Hara Hogdkiss Pearson Lowe kelleher Fitzpatrick, Welch Hayes Whittaker Marsh Napa Blisset in a 5-4 -1 formation.
Not ideal I agree but the outfield options left are Grimes, Vincenti Smith Wilson Arthur

Being slightly more optimistic.... we did look the better side at Morecambe until Evans injury and going down to 10 men. I did think we may have won our first game there if it wasn't for that. But Morecambe looked pretty poor and I wondered if I was watching the two teams to be relegated.

We have no midfield at the moment, with Rose,Evans, Lloyd and Durrell all out. For me, it's our lack of a quality and combative midfield that's been our downfall all season, and again it comes back to MY and his poor recruitment. MayXXXXXX is nowhere near good enough and Vincenti not looked either interested or capable. With the long term injuries to Durrell and Lloyd,he should have invested in an experienced CM instead of frittering the budget away on 2-3 peripheral bench-warmers.

Mdifield is currently bodies that love to chase after shadows. Never a chance of winning third let alone second balls.

Without evans the best we can hope for is welch-hayes who to his credit can at least tackle. He just needs to watch a few highlight videos of ross draper and get stuck in.

Correction BB-AA will have earned £100k plus and we won't see it. We are the club, he is the hole where the money goes. I have never tried putting money in there myself but that's where it seems to be going.

I must say that a clear statement about where the money is going from the league cup run would be good. If AA is taking back sums from what he considers we're originally loans then if that fact was acknowledged at least some honesty and openness would help to create more trust. Some fans think that he has every right to take his money back over time whilst the vast majority are uncomfortable with that to say the least. Some communication about the finances would help clear the air.

Last time we played FGR at home in the NL, the gate was 1749. Let's see how many on Saturday in L2.

Surely nobody really believes that MTFC is a profit making organisation from which the owner can take money to line his own pocket?
The club will be making a loss this season and most seasons.
We are a poor club with small gates and will be even poorer if there is some kind of boycott.
The fans need to get behind the team today!

Well MY pretty well went with my suggested line up which started this thread. Many of us had been calling for this for some time. Kelleher seemed the weakest link but all in all it worked much better.
It really looks as though non of the new signings have strengthened the squad. Who is responsible for that I'm not sure but MY has to bear some of the responsibility I would think.

Felt like MayXXXXXX had a good game. Helped in the build up to the goal and actually made some tackles.

Long may it continue.

MayXXXXXX Arthur and Vincenti all played their best games for the club IMO.
The player who worries me is Kelleher, good in air but on the ground, miskicks and misplaced passes and a big hoof are all he seeems to be able to manage when the ball is on the floor

Maybe the reason for the poor signings is the poor budget. So we have a poor budget poor team selection and a very intransigent chairman.

As much as his panic-stricken distribution, where Kelleher heads the ball is equally worrying - he gets his head to the ball and doesnt seem to think about where it's going to land. Compare with the incomparable George Pilkington, whose every header was placed with judgement and precision.

We now have our best RB and our best CB playing, but the back 4 is still weaker than last season.

I agree, Pearson and Lowe at centre back would be well worth a look. For me, Grimes and Kelleher aren’t up to it.

Do we have to wait until January to makes any changes?

That looked a lot better from the highlights, agree O Hara needs a cap in the Saturday games and there were a number of near misses. Might come back next week v Notts but don't see us getting anything at Newport other than a scrawpy draw.
