Signs new one year deal.

Surprised as he wasn't on the initial list if I remember correctly but I'm pleased - good squad player with some potential.

He was on the released list. Weird U-turn now Askey’s gone?

Seems very strange. Someone at the club must have made this decision , given JA didn't. Does this mean someone already at the club is going to be manager, or they've already appointed and the new manager has made this decision ?

I always thought Koby Arthur was rather unfortunate last season in the number of games he played!

The lad has got bags of potential and could well be a very good piece of business come the end of the season [^][:D].

Kindest regards

PB [smi].

Hope he gets a shot next season. Always impressed me when I saw him play but obviously JA didn't like him.

Really interesting to see that Mark Yates has managed Koby Arthur before and seemed to get great things out of him. Really hope he's given a chance this season- I was so excited about him after seeing him in pre season.

This will be why he re-signed then [^][^][^][^]

Cheltenham manager Mark Yates has admitted his disappointment after Koby Arthur returned to Birmingham just a month into his loan spell.

The 18-year-old was set to remain at the Robins until January after joining on a youth loan agreement in August.

Having netted four goals in eight appearance, the Blues recalled the winger after suffering a number of injuries to members of their squad.

"It is a call I didn't want to happen," Yates told BBC Radio Gloucestershire.

"You are always vulnerable when you get young loan players with a bit of quality and his club feel the need to take him back and use him.

"His goalscoring exploits have done wonders for us and hopefully we have provided him with a good platform.

"Credit to him for taking his opportunity and being a real positive figure in our decent start this season."

"“Koby Arthur showed his pace and what a pocket dynamo he can be and it was great for him to get the winner,” the Cheltenham manager told the club’s official website.

“He had three or four efforts at goal and he's something different to what we have got. He can play in three or four different positions and he will be a good player for us."

If that’s why he re-signed I’m going to ask Koby Arthur for next week’s lottery numbers - he signed up before Macc offered the manager job to other candidates. Worked out for the best as I’m sure he’ll get a proper chance under Yates.
