I'm sure I'm not alone in wondering what exactly goes on at our football club.

First of all, John Askey is an absolute legend who deserves his chance at a higher level and has a fantastic opportunity at Shrewsbury. Good luck Sir John, come back any time.

Then we have the club's ownership and those close to the club - the chairman, our sponsors, and so on.

Amar Alkadhi, as ever, says virtually nothing but seems to provide money - not always on time - but provides funds nonetheless. We've had this for more than a decade now, so we know what we're getting with him. Why doesn't he sell the club? No one knows.

Mark Blower is our chairman, came in at a hard time, and seemingly deserves some credit for steadying the club finances. But it seems his relationship with Askey, and some fans, isn't good. And he's widely rumoured to be bad at answering the phone.

Then there's Nick Bianchi, whose family business were shirt sponsors last season. He's been hailed as having provided a lot of morale-boosting support behind the scenes, travelled on the team bus etc, in recent seasons. He's become a familiar face, with the red wine interviews and all. And we've all seen him on the terraces last season. Looks like a proper fan's fan, right, one Macc institution backing another. But then today he's at John Askey's unveiling at Shrewsbury, and there's a twitter account for a company called 'Bianchi Kirk Management' which tweets about Askey's move and Shwan Jalal's.

It's absolutely no surprise that someone moves to a higher club when one comes calling.

But as an ordinary fan, it is getting very difficult to see who, if anyone, has MTFC's best interests at heart.

What concerns me is that there is no Board with a group of local business and other people working together for the good of the club. I think I am right in saying that Amar is the only legal Director of the club/company. Noone seems to want to work with AA or he doesn't know how to work with others in a partnership. Who provides the long term continuity now that JA has gone?

Who is Mr Blower anyway? Does he “love” the club like Amar says him and family do?

I had a long chat with John last night - one thing was apparent is that John is a Macclesfield Town fan - It is his club, and whilst that doesnt mean he wanted to manage Macc for ever, I am confident that he wants whats best for MTFC.

It has been documented on here that the chairman may have been letting his calls go to voicemail and it has been said to me that has happened for some time. Fortunately in life I do not have a boss, but if I did and I couldnt get hold of him when I needed to I think I would take employment elsewhere.

However it is onwards and upwards and we should hope that the decision to appoint the next manager is a good one, because if it isnt the 11/2 that was on offer about relegation a few days ago will look like a good investment for anyone that took it

Bianchi Kirk Management as referred to in GetToIt's opening post describes itself on Twitter as a Sports Management Company.

You can follow what's going on in this Twitter account

Good luck Askey

Hope you arrange a friendly with Macc pre season.

Hope we get you in the Cup.

Hope you send a few players our way too.

He'll still be a Macc Fan.

He'll do well to get them into the playoffs next season, i.e. for them to do as well as they have in the season just passed where they overachieved.
