Pity we wonít be going to Rochdale next season. - their fish and chips were the best - but at least Oldham is handy

Depends how long you've watched macc Bill. We played them in 1998-99 which is probably around when you started watching the club?

Stockport in the Cup was my first match. Unfortunately I couldn't go down to Fulham that year but I went when Fulham came up for the friendly that summer. If you started watching in 1965 then you are well ahead of me.[^]

The 1998-99 league games against Oldham were memorable as Macc won both, 2-1 away at Boundary Park in September and 1-0 at home in February. I think Oldham was the only team Macc did the double against for that season.

Memorable but sadly not unforgettable for me. I was probably at the home game.[rle]

Was there for the away game at Ice Station Zebra In 98. Seem to recall Dominic Barclay scoring the winner.

Rochdale ! I remember years ago we were in the league doing ok , we played Rochdale on the Saturday , they were that skint their fans were in the silkmen pub (behind the away end) collecting money in buckets!! , I remember putting £2 in !!
The week after I went Burnley v Wolves (mrs is a Burnley fan- I think Gazza played for Burnley that day🙌🏻) and the same group of Rochdale fans were outside Burnley doing the same , pleading XXXXXX poverty!
, Christ , it was a damn good lesson for me in football !! All I can say is F**k em!! , think about number one and the club u love!!! X
