What's the difference?

Between Andy Halls who last year twittered that he had not received his contractually due bonus and the current team who collectively (or anonymously) recently have made known through a website that they have not received their contractually due wages?

If I recall rightly Halls was excoriated for his actions on this site.

No difference at all Ron. This time the team had the good sense to approach the subject as a group.

One difference is that the club informed the players that they wouldn't be able to pay them until they received the Trophy money from the FA, which they received then.
This time as the players say they knew nothing about it.

The difference is that people rely on regular wages to exist. Food, housing, transport, etc. A bonus is extra to that.

Halls acting individually made him look like a maverick, out of step with the mainstream, even though he may have had a valid grievance.

The current team, acting collectively, have learned from that.

We've heard what they had to say. Now let's hear the club's response.

The difference is that these players remain committed to our club. Halls negotiated his exit instead of training for the Trophy Final ... where his performance was pants!

They remain committed at the moment CB, but unless the club acts to sort the situation out they will be in breach of contracts and I suppose technically the players will become free agents? It is all very well us expecting them to remain loyal, but if you were doing a job and not getting paid and something else came up which would pay the bills, what would you do? People can't live on fresh air.

What a stupid post, surely can you see the difference? Someone might as well delete this whole thread, waste of time.

What the thread does demonstrate is that it is not the first time the club has failed to make promised payments - not something that will help us to recruit players in the future.

Halls was a personal rant, delivered in an unprofessional way on a social media site.

How amazing that while everyone else is up in arms about all the staff not being paid, Ron has started this thread as some kind of distraction.

I'd be interested to hear your insights on how the alleged six figure injection, the 15K campaign fund money and the gate money from 5 home games has been insufficient to cover the wages in January, Ron.

Maybe this six-figure cash injection was in bitcoin. Since BTC runs to 8 decimal places, 0.00001 BTC comes in at 9 cents.

Can't see how 100k got spunked in the past 4 weeks
