Another costly mistake. I don't even think we'll make play offs.

After the 6-0 battering they didn't do too bad today. Yes we should have won with the amount of chances but 1-1 isn't the end of the world. We won't win the league but just got to aim for playoffs. Jalal should have done better but could argue he was fouled. Onwards and upwards!

Steveo, your optimism is admirable but the truth is we look like we have lost it! Ok we played most of the first 30 mins in their half and I know we weren't getting the rub of the green but there was no cutting edge , no desire by some players to 'make it happen' and get their toe on the ball!
The problem is we have a plan B unless bringing a tall striker on and lobbing it in from 40 yards against tall centre halves is a plan!
That's 2 points out of 9 now, hardly league winning form or even play off form, I hope I'm wrong but It doesn't feel like we are top of the league! [rle]

I think why I'm been optimistic is really because is someone said to me in Aug that macc would be top if the league come January then you'd have laughed at them. We are punching well above our weight. Yes these last few weeks have been disappointing but overall we've done well. Just got to make sure we finish in the top 7.

If we continue to score just one goal in every 4 games, then that is not going to keep us in the play-offs, never mind win the league [8D]

Jalal is a liability, and we cannot convert chances which will mean we wont be out of this league come May [V]

Has nothing to do except the kick the ball out and then that! However we made poor choices in key positions and wasted a lot of crosses. Plus point was Evans whose link play with Durrell was superb. Thought we would have done better with Hancox on earlier. Lloyd disappointed me again. Great goal, from Whitehead showed the way when others were shot shy all game.

You only have to look at our goals scored column to show we've not had a cutting edge all season, it's been plenty of 1-0/2-1 wins. We're now deep into the season where pretty much everyone still has something to play for and aren't going to be expansive when visiting the Moss. I'd fancy us to have a better chance of beating Aldershot and Tranmere right now, teams that will attempt to win the game. Though that's also looking a very long shot.

Hopefully getting a win quickly will get us back on track but without a game next week we'll soon find ourselves in the chasing pack by the looks of it.

I don't blame jalal we should have with the amount of crosses put the game to bed. Evans and durrell worked well together but blisset not sure most of his headers were back not forward.aiso 4 points dropped against sollihull and now Torquay so our next game is against guisley so lets make sure we get 3 points because next is Aldershot which we need to win because at the moment it is a 6 pointer

Solihull are a different team look at last six results. Torquay however were a ragged outfit in the first half there to be taken and put away.

Is it worth bringing back Baba in central midfield? He did well against Halifax and we need someone to break up play.
