There is a sharp contrast between the level of transparency currently being engaged at Chester a propos their financial difficulties and that displayed by MTFC. I would be far happier to contribute to the current Silkmen Campaign Fund if a similar degree of openness was offered (always with due respect to confidentiality with regard to player and other contracts of course). Follow the link below and click on 'Everything You Need To Know'. It appears that their current problems are very similar to those of MTFC in the aftermath of the Great King Debacle.

Yes, well done Chester FC showing us all, but mostly Amar, how a club should be run.

Also, credit Andy Halls for his far-sighted and wise words at the end of last season.

How a club should be run? You're kidding me. Chester are more than likely going to have to go into administration and gave 2 year high paid deals to Kingsley James and Paul Turnbull. Amar has given JA money to strengthen in January and Blissett's wages won't be cheap. Don't understand the Amar hate- not one bit. Things could be a lot worse and he continues to keep bailing us out. You want bad owners? Look at Hartlepool and Chester.

Given the high level of transparency at Chester alongside the appalling management acumen, I'm going to be starting a grass roots campaign demanding less transparency in football.

I hope many will join me on this crusade.

Amar gets hate because he puts in the bare minimum and jeopardises our conference status year after year by making SJA find almost a whole new squad annually. He also pockets all additional money made from for example player sales (Rowe, Lewis, Mackreth) last season, the BBC televised FA Cup game (70-odd grand) and the FA Trophy run (prize money every round). We’re very lucky SJA has his ears to the ground to find these local gems time after time when his last lot have been poached cos our owner doesn’t care.

Transparency is needed at MTFC.
After last years Campaign when no figures were published as to how much and how it was spent I will not give again.

Yes. There will always be at least one club run worse than us, but I suspect there are plenty run a whole lot better in terms of transparency and interaction with the fans.

If you were a player would you sign for Chester now knowing they have financial troubles? Probably Not!

We don’t know the ins and outs of our current finances, that is beneficial if we want to sign players like we just have. If the OS had interviews with Amar saying the club were in the XXXXXX then no one would sign for us and it would be a downward spiral.

You are not going to get figures on how it was spent! Was it not enough for you that we brought in all those players in January last season (mostly loans I know but they wouldn't have been free) What sort of financial disclosure would have kept you happy?

I have also seen the argument that we asked for this money and then sold players last year. That was always a risk. You can't stop players like Danny Rowe getting a move like that

Finally, its not a donation in the strictest sense. There is a return should we be promoted

Good points Toddy, what precise info is required? Do you want to see the wage slips of all players and other paid staff?

I wanted to know where the 'six figure sum' that 'the majority shareholders ..... injected ... into the Club over the last few weeks' at the time of the re-launch of the Silkmen Campaign Fund, and that I read as an inducement to contribute to the same, has gone. And I still do; it clearly hasn't gone to the players!

I now want to know where the £21000 (including £1000 of STT money) raised by the Silkmen Campaign Fund has gone. Again clearly not to the players.

Is that too much to ask? The club must be far more scrupulous in the accuracy of information given out with the express intention of encouraging fans to give.

There is a sharp contrast between MTFC and Chester; namely that the Chester fans know what there contributions are for and where they are going. It remains unclear where MTFC fund raising goes.

The club is on very dodgy ground; it should take heed.

There is never any transparency. The owner and Chairman should be ashamed of themselves.

We need 3 points tomorrow and as far as we know the players are playing for nothing right now. A lesser decent set of people would not be putting in 100% I know that much.

Leaving us in the dark is not the way to approach this. Who’s is running our club and do they have any experience?

Maybe with this news breaking last Sunday it answered a few questions some of us had about the lack of passion shown last Saturday. I'm not saying it was the reason but no matter how professional you are it must play on your mind when your employer does this to you.

Lack of passion? I must have been at a different game , the first half in particular no one could accuse any Macc player of lack of passion, lack of luck possibly but certainly not lack of passion.
