Looked impressive when I saw him playing for Torquay. Apparently he wants a move to a FL side though and Wrexham are also keen.

---

"Two promotion-chasing National League clubs are desperate to add out-of-favour Plymouth Argyle striker Nathan Blissett to their ranks this month.

The 27-year-old has not appeared for Argyle since a late substitute appearance in the 1-0 win at Bradford City in League One on November 11.

Since then the former Torquay United targetman has been reduced to outings with the reserves while his place on the first-team bench has been far from certain.

Herald Sport understands first-placed Macclesfield Town and fourth-placed Wrexham are keen to bring Blissett in on loan with a view to signing him permanently if they are promoted.

However, the nomadic forward remains ambitious and wants to secure football with an EFL side, most likely in League Two.

Argyle manager Derek Adams has, unsurprisingly, told Blissett he should find a new club this month if he wants to secure regular match time between now and the end of the season.

While the offers remain on the table from the Silkmen and Dragons, Blissettís representative are holding out for offers from League Two.

Blissett has two goals for the Pilgrims this season and four in total from the 25 appearances he has made since arriving 12 months ago."

If true, Wrexham are certainly throwing some cash at it. Holroyd and Biden up front and Mackreth canít get in the side!

We could do with him coming to us... we need more options up front.

Would give us a genuine option up front, and probably generate some interest among the fans as well.

From Plymouth manager RE: Blissett.

"We've allowed them to speak to other clubs and they're doing that at this moment in time," Adams told BBC Devon.

"Over the next week or so we will have a conclusion and they will probably be at another club."

When is the last time we have had a 6ft plus mobile centre forward who can head the ball?
Let's hope his show reel video does not flatter him too much!

One of the Plymouth fans posted:

Not a bad player at this level by any means.
But needs to play in a 4-4-2 or similar formation. He is not a "hold the ball up" player which Adams favours. He can win flick ons for a pacy strike partner and is also a physical presence at corners/free kicks.

Could work well with Wilson then as a plan B?

I'm sure JA will have researched his strengths and weaknesses.

As with all big strikers quality delivery of the ball will be key, and I think we have the players to provide that.

Would definitely sign Nathan. The lad is a real awkward player to compete against, and he would be most likely instrumental in helping us to score a fair few goals next season [:P].

Kindest regards

Rumour on the One Football Forum is that Port Vale are interested in him and have offered him a deal.
