He said played well both times he's played against them this season. Still don't think he's good enough to make the step up. Started the season great but somewhat lost his way. Good luck to him if he gets a move to the FL.

Kingsley Tyrone James is still only 25, so, still plenty of time for him to develop as a player, and, like all our squad, with the exception of Mitch Hancox, he can walk away for free if the call comes.

Whittakar, Summerfield, Whitehead and Hancox have all had better seasons than him in midfield. I'm surprised that Lincoln want him.

And so behind the bi-annual disassembly of our squad. Success won't come without consistency.

Quite right.

Lincoln's previous years' finishing positions in the Conference were:-

2016-- 13th
2015-- 15th
2014-- 14th
2013-- 16th
2012-- 17th

Which is pretty consistent.

If Kingsley does go then so be it.

It would be good if there was some activity with the playing squad. I know we are going to Wembley next week but surely contracts have been offered already to those who JA wants to keep and if some were to sign before Wembley, that would surely be a massive boost to the club and confidence would be higher too.
Also, I appreciate that we cannot issue a retains list yet but all other clubs seems to be offering contracts and signing existing or new players, why can't we actually do the same for once.

Kingsley James is not a bad player, is he foi
football league standard, I very much doubt it.

Anyway, lets hope we can get Summerfield and Dudley from the loanees because Browne will not be coming back.

If James does go, good luck but I suspect personally that he will struggle there and probably end up playing back at this level or lower.

As I mentioned in a thread a couple of weeks ago, I'm not so sure consistency is whats needed. The best available players are whats needed and improving our areas of weakness.

KJ for me doesnt make our best midfield, so no problems from me if he leaves.

If only we could sign the best available players, Boss.

The best we can hope for is to sign the best available players that we can afford after the big money boys have had their pick.

As usual the crazy Bosman ruling gets us nothing, will this be repealed when we Brexit? It's one thing that we should be campaigning for with our MP! I don't think he is up to Conf standard really as he seems behind the pace in most games.

Norburns twice the player James is so I wouldn't be too bothered if James left, saying that I wouldn't be suprised if Norburn left. Intresting to see a few Wrexham fans on twitter thinking they'll sign Holroyd.

Apologies to The Boss if I misinterpreted that posting.

We can kick this around until the bovines return to base, but the simple fact is that we have only Mitch Hancox under contract, and any other player can walk away for free.

Unless we have serious cash (not Alan) to make realistic offers, then our better players will be poached, and, yet again, we will be starting from scratch next season.

I'm told Kingsley signed a 2 year deal with Halifax but chose to leave after 1 relegation season.Halifax held out for the fee they had to pay Chester under tribunal (around 20k)which makes it an expensive deal for a one year contract.

I thought James was a decent player. I'm guessing he's one of our highest earners though, since we paid a fee for him. Can we get better than James on similar wages - down to JA.

Weird move to sign someone for a fee and only give them a 1-year deal. Was our best player in our first few matches but then lost his way. Not overly bothered he's left.

I can't help but being a little annoyed maybe I've got my macc glasses on but 3 to Chester, so called rivals I know it's not Stockport or alti but still shows what they are like in a battle to me to swap Cheshire clubs, so I can only say I wouldn't want them now they showed there cards, but it's all about the dollar int it chaps I suppose.. Was hoping James would stay, but finding a replacement shouldn't be a problem.
Kingsley was great up until the Solihull away game, then got injured, after that his performances were distinctly average.

I agree Macchiavelli, it's pretty confusing at the moment.

A lot of our players are leaving and despite the fact they are generally average Conference players, the fact they're leaving should be worrying.

However, our first two new signings are not going to have been cheap in my opinion. Hodgkiss has captained FGR and Kidderminster, and we have signed him on a 2 year deal. Wilson is presumably southern based and most recently played for Eastleigh, where I'm sure he would have been earning a good salary.

I think we're just going to have to wait and see who signs before we can judge how next season is going to go.

I thought first 6/7 games of the season we have a player here, then wasn't really up too much after that, and I remember someone from Halifax came on this forum and said the same. However would probably have liked him too stay considering our current midfield [rle]

KJ was a clear downgrade on Turnbull. I don't know how Chester will work both of them into their first XI.

Surely we can find an improvement?

Says it all when 3 core members of our squad believe their futures are better served at a club like Chester. With respect, they aren't Tranmere or Wrexham. We should be at least competing with teams like Chester, not rolling over and letting them tickle our tummies! Push on after last season my ar$e! Alkhadi out!

I agree Maccman - they're a nailed on lower mid-table finish in my opinion.

I can see why people are getting frustrated by losing players (it happens every year, and isn't sustainable), but if you take out Rowe and the loanees from last season, the squad was a bottom half side in my opinion. If we really want to progress and challenge for the top 7 next season, I think we generally need better players.

I'm reserving judgement on our chances till we've signed the first 10-15 players for next season.

Absolutely 100% agree with Lancsmacc regarding how good he was up to Solihull Moors and then VERY avearge [^][:D].

I expected considerably more (he had impressed me when he played against us for Chester & Halifax) but ultimately he had an okay season and whilst I wish him all the best for the future, I am not exactly heartbroken [:O].

Would love to see Luke Summerfield back, and a big bonus would see capturing Danny Whitehead & young Rhys Browne [^][^].

kindest regards

PB [smi].

Not concerned at all he was a bit short of pace at times and may have cost us the FA cup with careless passing. However we will need time to meld so many new players together so let's hope we get them all before pre season games kick in.
