Blackburn, Burnley, and Bradford. With Greater Manchester thrown in for balance
Announced the night before Eid.
Anyone see a connection?

For the same reason it happened in Leicester. The obvious connection of religious and cultural no compliance is yet again highlighted. It's what happens when you invite people to come and live among you who have no intention of integrating but choose to live by their own rules and regulations at the expense of the rest of us.I'll sit back and wait for the usual crew on here to have a right royal righteous fit at someone stating the bleeding obvious.[:D][:D][:D]

Daggers, all of the areas listed have large Asian communities. Even Trafford which is a fairly wealthy part of Greater Manchester has an area near to MUFC ground that is also predominantly Asian. ( some news channels are incorrectly using Trafford to argue that there is not a connection between Covid outbreaks and the ethnic demographics of these areas on the list.
My sister has worked in Social services in Manchester for over 40 years and like many in that profession is a very liberal/ left of centre socialist minded person.
Not a racist bone in her body, but she has said that lockdown guidance has been flouted in these communities from the very start of the outbreaks and local authorities are reluctant to administer the issue.

Judging by what I saw on Thursday there may be problems with other parts of our 'community'. Between 200-300 gathered outside a Catholic church in Harborough for a funeral, no distancing not one face mask that I could see. Don't think I have to point out which group I'm talking about. No police presence whatsoever.

If you mean the travelling community than say it. Don't hide your post with vagaries.

I live in West Yorkshire, about 6 or so miles from Bradford and I work in Manchester
All over the lockdown period there have been large groups of Asians in the parks, around the reservoirs and in the countryside having picnics etc. - no social distancing at all.
Last night when out walking the dog, 2 large parties going on, with 40-50 people at each. Cars everywhere, loud music and again, no masks or distance to be seen.
No surprise that it was Asian parties again.
My local MP, Craig Whittaker is getting slated in the press for saying it as it is. Apparently to speak the truth is "racist"
Boils my p155

Walked the dog past the local cricket pitch (I live near Wigan now so am supposedly in lockdown). Full game of cricket going on with everyone wearing whites, an umpire and even the scoreboard being used. Wickets celebrated with hugging and no social distancing on the pitch or outside the club house.
I didn't challenge them. You reap what you sow.
Having said that not sure why Wigan is even in the lockdown. We have the same infection rate in the borough as Kensington and Chelsea and no one is asking them to lock down.
