anyone remember,62/63ish, his disallowed goal,just on half time,at filbert street,the ref insisted he had blew his whistle before it crossed the line,jimmy was not happy..no var then,also my dad dropped his thermos flask getting off robbos(?) on the boulevard ,had to pay for a cuppa at the ground,not happy,great days ...,[8D]

my dad rip,hated football,into cricket,i insisted he took me to lcfc,1959,was my first game,I think he took me to get away from my mum,anyway a few years later he did my Saturday evening paper round when I went to the match..didn’t realise until he was 92 and dying what a top guy he was,many family secrets in his generation..[8D]

I recall his goal against us at WHL 68/69; he picked the ball up on the half way line, waltzed past goodness knows how many City players and planted it in the net. Both sets of fans were still applauding for the next 5 mins.

Allan Clarke had just been handed the City captaincy, I think we lost 3-2, one of several defeats that season.
