Yes, it's probably been done before but surely we're not so gloomy that we can only focus on those away games that have left us distraught and wondering why we bother (or, in the case of Millwall, probably hoping to avoid a visit to the the local A&E).

So, as Soho canters towards his nifty, let's cast our minds back to when the boys in blue left us feeling like we were walking on sunshine (or at least quite happy).

If I'd gone, it would probably have been Bruges or that Palace game. But I didn't so Wimbledon League Cup semi for me. I can still picture Larry's goal and, in the far distance right at the death, Garry Parker's header off the line. What a night. We were, indeed, going to Wemberlee.

I have a soft spot for Notts County away in 1984. We took a lot, that big open away terrrace was pretty full.

Scoring 5 goals way from home in the top flight and in an intermittent blizzard. Lineker hat-trick, and Kevin McDonald strolling around imperiously in midfield.

Nicking a totally underserved away win at Anfield, Boxing Day morning 1984, was pretty good too.

School End - we must have taken what seemed like 10,000 that day.

Fulham and Luton away same cup run feature high in my memory also..

Winning at Cardiff a few days after Vichais demise. Was an emotional day. But incredibly special that we were able to put in a winning effort under the circumstances.

Mayseie: the crowd that day was 34 thousand and I doubt weather there was 24 thosand QPR in there, in fact I think there was more Leicester than QPR. I was in the SAR Terrace and it rammed with Leicester. I never realised how close the game was to being postponed until a long time after. Hundreds of City fans got in without tickets too

how don't know how they guess the away support without it being all ticket. Portsmouth in 1971 they said there was 11000 of us there, but they said the same figure for Orient. If you looked at the crowd and weighed up home v away support it'd be miles wrong. At Luton they said 8000 but we had the open end, part of both sides and there was Leicester in the Oak road.

Came back from Luton to watch City v West Ham I think, Luton game was postponed so you just bought a cup ticket. The M1 was packed with City fans, made it back to filbo with only 15 minutes gone. Halfway through a chant of "If you've all been to Luton clap yer hands" went up

Micky. @QPR. The match I believe had a 2.00pm inspection but by 1.30 there were 100ís of Leicester fans waiting to get in. So they opened the turnstiles and asked us just to show our tickets to the turnstile guy as if the game was postponed we could use the ticket again. By the time the game had been announced as on, the terrace was already filling up. I clearly remember loads of us going to the back wall and throwing our tickets down to the fans below. It sends shivers down my back that by doing that we could have caused a Hillsborough. All I know is that Iíve never ever felt so squashed on a football terrace.
As an aside it was one of the greatest cup games in Leicesterís history IMO as QPR had a fantastic team and were I think 2nd in the league at the time. The second goal was very Leicester 2016

Link: The crowd hardly moves

Portsmouth 1971. Best atmosphere I remember to this day. Don't know how many Leicester fans went that day and maybe cos I was a kid but there were thousands. And I got to walk round the pitch with David Nish's arm round my shoulder.

The Derby game was great, under O'Neill, seeings how they had just moved into their new and plush Pride Park, and with all their pomp and pageantry that went with it .... They were ripe for it .... and, what a pasting they had, we toyed with them ....

4-0 up after less than 20 minutes, all headed goals .... a first half of sheer power football from the off from us, they were petrified of us ... Diehard Rams fans walking out after the fourth went in was just fantastic .... i honestly thought we were going to get 10 that Sunday .....

Palace were the division's Whipping boys that season, and all the Derby supporters could shout was "Did you win at Selhurst Park ? " ... because we hadn't ..... A glorious day out

Nice memento Channy.

Some corkers mentioned that I would have loved to have been at, like Man City 2016 and the Derby 4-0.

Villa 3-1 under MON was also great, although difficult to keep quiet watching in the Holte End.

Then those two 1-0s at Dirty Leeds, with a classic Cottee finish from a Heskey run and cross. Leeds were very decent back then I recall.

That 3-2 at Spurs was very enjoyable too.

Mickey I was at Luton the week before too. They were due to play Sunderland that day I think and yes it was postponed. But mission completed I got my ticket for the following week. The lengths we went to in those days when the FA Cup really meant something. Incredible really...
Also wasnít that the same year the Fulham goalie got a dart in his head thrown from the Kop during the replay?
The name Peter Mellor rings a bell...

The Luton v Sunderland game wasn't postponed until 1pm, we'd hatched a plan where one of us was feigning illness so they would let us out, would it have worked? maybe. Peter Mellor was the goalkeeper but it was at Fulham I think it stuck in his foot, we were in the Riverside Stand, smack on the goal line and a gin bottle landed on top of the net
